Baby Foot Peeling Pack

Definitely a bed weather but my body won't let me sleep.  The things that are keeping me half alive is a cup of mint green tea, fita crackers with slightly failed homemade truffles and the sounds and music of Up Dharma Down (filipinos out there, do you still remember them?  I hope yes because they are really very very good great band).

yummy yet sinful
Blurred and doesn't look appetizing food photo but trust me, the  combo is perfect.  Anyway, I'll be talking about a foot peeling product (the i-r-o-n-y hehehe).

This will be the third foot peeling product that I tried.  This time it's from a Japanese brand Baby Foot.  I only bought this online from Hipstyle though I dream of going to Japan someday ever since I watch a series of documentary about Japan when I was a kid.

Baby Foot Easy Pack
Foot peeling pack for a baby feet
Made from Japan
goodbye cracked heels?  I want goodbye kalyo
It seems like I was born with kalyo (callo/corn).  It just been a couple of months since I've done a foot peel and my feet have callos again.  Since it's not okay to use a foot peel more than twice a year, this will be my last and it will be in 2014 that my feet will be reborn like a baby's.

Nice packaging, the box is sturdy and well packed.  It has english texts too plus the illustrations are understandable.  A box contains a plastic that contains the plastic socks plus a comprehensive instruction/manual  on how to use and other facts about the product.

well wrapped plastic socks
santa socks again
The peeling solution is already in the socks so just cut the broken lines then wear them.  Also included in the pack are adhesive papers to secure the plastic socks if it's too big for your feet (they are big for my feet, so I just those adhesive).  Then wait for 2 hours.  Take note, if you have sensitive skin, try the solution first to a small portion of your feet and also don't use it if you have broken skin.

all the information you need at the back of the box
It says that it's made with natural ingredients but it smell so chemically plus I also experience slight itchiness.  After washing the feet thoroughly, I also feel a little numbness (from the long soaking time I guess, hmmm I even don't know why I type that).  Anyway, it took 7 days after before I saw some signs of peeling then another 7 days or more for the peeling. On the 7th day I already helped in the peeling process by soaking and scrubbing my feet.  I also applied lotion to help soften the dead skin cells on the 4th day of the peeling process.

The peeling really takes time but what I like though is that the peeling of the skin is by area.  It also peel even the thickest corn/callos of my feet and around my fingertips and the skin too so my feet brighten after using this particular foot pack from Baby Foot.

effective di ba?
After the peeling, my feet looks pink and became really soft.  Uggh, I hope I can maintain it's current baby foot state.

Now what peeling foot pack to used next?  Suggestions?

The Body Shop Peach and Sweet Lemon

Whenever I hear summer, fruits always come to my mind.  So I waited for summer before I can use 2 fruit theme products from the The Body Shop even if I bought them 6 months before.

It's now rainy season now in the Philippines but the peach lotion and sweet lemon body butter became my dryness buster (combating the el niño of my body) during the summer season.

Surprisingly, the Peach Body Lotion (not the vineyard peach which I think made this lotion extinct from the shelves of the body shop) is light and is absorbed quickly by my body.

I initially thought that it would be greasy under the heat of the sun which made me used it at night the first time but it seems one swipe is not enough so I used it during daytime and well my daytime body liked it.   The peach scent is heavenly too, not too sweet not too strong and doesn't easily fade away.

The only con I can think of is that when I'm out under the sun for too long, it makes me sweat more than usual.  Color is subtle pinkish orangey peachy.

my body moisturizers over the summer
The Sweet Lemon Body Butter on the other hand is perfect for summer nights.  Not too greasy too and the consistency is like of that Olive variant only it's light yellowish in color(my post can be found here).

Smell reminds be of frutos or sugus candies but it also has a plastic-like smell maybe because I stock it for a very long time and the one that I got is the old version.  But if I disregard that smell and focus on the fruit part then it's very refreshing.

While it's perfect for summer nights, I think it's moisturizing effect is not enough on colder weather (better use the Shea or the Olive variant).

Saan aabot ang 1000 pesos mo?

Back in the days when my sisters give me 1000 pesos as a christmas present, I would create a long list of things and food that I can buy with it.  Those are the days when; as a kid, would make me go gaga and ask my mom to bring me to a grocery store so that I can buy all the candies, chocolates, potato chips and other junk foods and toys that I want  (of course my mom wouldn't let me spend all my christmas money on those things, instead she would just give me half of it.  The other half will have to go to new clothes and shoes for the New Year).

Back in the twenty first century, a 1000 pesos would only lead me to Bench to buy a new pair of black chinos or jeans for work then go to Sbarro for a pizza and drink then go home.  In short, stretching a hard-earned-money is so hard nowadays that people would wait for a super sale in order to go out of the mall with plenty of bags and plastics on hand.

Luckily, yesterday I went out of SM San Lazaro with 2 plastics and 2 paper bags (and a full tummy).  The budget?  1000 pesos!
sweater for a rainy weather
While in most parts of the world almost everyone enjoys the summer, here in the Phils it's raining cats and dogs in midday or late afternoon or in the evening almost everyday so this stripes sweater will keep me warm.  It's only P350 in surplus though the saleslady said that they are going to have 10% on all items on Wednesday when I already paid for it (ngek, sayang naman ang P35 pambili din ng kape or ice cream sa Mcdo).

sinong ayaw ng 50% off?
Simple sandals from Solemate,  I have a pair that is still alive up to now (been using it for 6 months now I think and it conquered the harsh weather and the weight of my body).  They are not that trendy (I know) but they are versatile enough to match any everyday outfit plus my sister and I agreed that the styles from this brand can be compared with those from Forever21.  Can you believe that I only paid P350 for these 2?  And they are very matibay (durable)!  The SA who assisted me even put these two on shoe boxes and paperbags, natawa na lang ako.

Next is the Olive Hair Treatment from Watsons.  I wanted to have the conditioner but they are nowhere to be found.  It supposed to be on a buy one take one promo but they run out of stocks so they just slashed the price in half which  is more favorable on my part by the way and got it for P115.

I still have have P185 left from my P1000.  I spent it on facial tissue and on Wendy's for lunch.  Burp!

Raspberry and Pumpkin for a mask from TheFaceShop

Because of my messed up body clock, I woke up at the wee hours of the morning and is on the third and hopefully final post for the day (while eating avocado, clover cheese and chili, hello panda and toblerone, while sniffing because of an uncontrollable colds achooo).

Speaking of last, these two masks that I used are the last from the first batch of masks that I hoard ordered from TheFaceShop through Bae Lu.

First would be one of my favorite masks from TheFaceShop:  The Real Nature Mask Raspberry.

TheFaceShop Real Nature Mask Raspberry
Aside from the funky smell (mixture of raspberry juice and the sweet raspberry smell of candies), I also love how it soften, smoothen and how it made my face plump after just one sleep.

nice words :)
Not sure about the anti-aging etchos that is on the description but I enjoyed using this mask as it's refreshing (even the smell is refreshing, nothing too alcoholic) and the essence is not sticky nor heavy on the skin unlike the next mask.

TheFaceShop Real Nature Mask Pumpkin
I thought this mask would be...wait for it...LEGENDARY!  Because of it's out of this world variant:  PUMPKIN.  Well, I was proven wrong (huhuhu..sob..sob...sob), it's one of my dislikes as it's sticky, heavy, strong smelling (let's just say it's a drunken mask because of it's alcohol smell) and most of all, didn't do anything significant on my face.

"and I though this can restore the youth of my face..."
So yeah, with all the drama while saying ..."I thought this can restore the youth of my face" I regret to inform the facial mask lovers out there that this one didn't do anything significant on my face (let me know your story if you happen to try this).  The only benefit I got is I discovered that there's an expiration date indicated the packs of TheFaceShop mask sheets ahahahaha.

a very long shelf life
I'm running out of words and I think the way I talk (actually, write) is getting funnier? (like a drunken kid from a bottle of beer) and blurry so this will be the last post for the day.

Nature Republic Collagen Trial Set

It's already been three weeks since I finished this trial set so I hope I can still remember my experience with it.  Why collagen?  Because my face loves collagen based skincare products.  I know, many would say that collagen is also absorbed by skin either by injection or ingestion but I really don't care :P

Nature Republic Collagen Dream 90 Trial Set
I bought this trial set from bhappywithme from Ebay because I wanted to try other brand's collagen products and at the same time to give my skin a break from the Etude House collagen cream as my skin; when already accustomed to a product, tend to react wildly (like the minions!!!)

it comes with a booster aka toner, emulsion, essence and a cream
This trial set did last for 15 days in my hands (yup that long even if used it twice a day), so it's also perfect for those long vacay (I wanted a long vacation now na!).

Contents:
Skin Booster (pinagandang pangalan for toner)- 20ml
Emulsion- 20 ml
Essence- 5ml
Cream- 8ml

Let's start with the skin booster which is just a toner (really).  It's thick in consistency like an ampoule and has a yellowish color.  I usually apply this with a cotton pad but sometimes I just love to put a small amount of it in my palms and pat it on my face for faster absorption because it takes a while before my skin absorb this toner because of it's consistency but at the same time (because of it's consistency) it also already gives my skin a little moisture.  (gosh, I'm abusing the words consistency and because).

From yesstyle.com:

Nature Republic Collagen Dream 90 Skin Booster
Antioxidant enriched toner revives and nourishes skin with acai berry, a powerful superfood packed with Omega 3, 6, 9 and Vitamin E, minimizing cellular damage and restoring skin's youthful vibrancy. Deep sea marine collagen increases skin's collagen reserve, allowing skin's outer and inner layers to maintain an optimum collagen level to keep skin moist and supple. Suitable for all skin types.

everything in korean
Next is the emulsion which is (as you can see in the below picture) white in color.  Just like other emulsions, this one has a runny almost like lotion consistency that gives my face a moist effect.  The box says 90 but this one is just 70 and I do not know the difference except for the numbers written.

From sasa.com:

Nature Republic Collagen Dream 70 Emulsion
Contains marine-collagen derived from deep sea in Indonesia and SYNiorage, which helps inner and outer skin retain higher level of collagen. It also contains extract of Northern Brazil Asai Berry, which is known as an effective antioxidant. With these highly effective ingredients, the Nature Republic Collagen Dream helps to keep your skin moisture, elastic and healthy.

and this my friends is a photo of what the products look like
The essence is my favorite among the four.  The consistency surprised me because it's no watery and almost looks like a gel cream.  My face absorbs this quickly and even in just small amount moisturizes my skin well that I sometimes skip applying the cream.  It also makes my skin looked nourish.  Like it very much!

From yesstyle.com:

Nature Republic Collagen Dream 70 Essence
Rich and hydrating essence rejuvenates skin cells and stimulates collagen production with potent antioxidants and marine derived collagen. Marine collagen boosts skin's collagen level, aiding skin's outer and inner layers to maintain a higher level of collagen. Antioxidant enriched acai berry then halts cellular damage for noticeably smoother skin with a youthful glow. After cleansing and toning, gently massage a small amount of essence all over skin and neck and follow with emulsion.

And lastly, the cream which is the heaviest among the four.  I think this cream is more suitable in places with colder temperature.  I use this at the end of summer in the Philippines and there's this day that my face looks oily so I only apply it at night.

From zalora.com:

Nature Republic Collagen Dream 70 Cream
This highly effective anti-aging face cream is teeming with marine collagen and antioxidants that help keep skin moist, elastic and with renewed health. It also works to keep the skin smooth and glowing with youth.

All these products are almost odorless by the way.

TonyMoly Facial Sponge and Hair Remover

Here are two TonyMoly products that are in pending for a very long time.

This "puto" (a filipino rice muffin) looking thing is a facial sponge that a friend of my friend bought for me from Korea last February.  I got curious about konjac (you can check the benefits of konjac sponge here) and looking into this product while in a store in one of TonyMoly here in the Philippines keep me thinking if this squishy sponge can really clean the face.  Answer: Yes, it does clean the face!

TonyMoly Natural Konjac Cleansing Puff
100% Natural Fiber
pH 8.4 Alkali
P198
3000 won
Cleaning my face has never been this fun.  This sponge lightly massages, soften and exfoliates without stripping the moisture off my skin.  It also lessen the appearance of black and whiteheads.  My face also feels clean even if I don't use a facial cleanser (while I'm using this, I don't use facial cleanser in the morning...medyo nakatipid ako).  The tear drop shape has it purpose by the way:  I use the smaller part on my undereyes and the sides of the nose while the bigger portion is to the rest of my face and neck.  Since I can't afford a Clarisonic, I'll stick with these kind of sponges (bought a generic circle one in Landmark at only 60 pesos, I'll try as many konjac sponges as I can.  Update, tried the circle one and the tear shape of  TonyMoly's is easier to grip).

Take note though that you have to thoroughly clean this every after use by soaking and squeezing it many times until the water runs clean.  I am in a hurry one time and only soak and squeeze it twice and the smell went bad (it should be oderless).  Also there's this one time that I didn't use it for 4 consecutive days, it dried which is normal (just soak in the water and it will go back to it's squishy state) but the next day I saw a green line so I have to throw it after just one month of use.

without the string, it looks like a food to me
Here's the description and notes that I found from Tony Moly Singapore facebook page:

TonyMoly 100% Natural Konjac Cleansing Puff

Before use, wash the sponge thoroughly, soak it in water and squeeze it several times.

Gently massage it on your face in a circular motion to exfoliate dead skin cells and for deep cleansing. This will help to stimulate tired skin, revitalize your skin & encourage skin renewal. Cleansers or facial foams can be added to the sponge if desired, but is not a must.

If the sponge is dried, always allow it to fully absorb water before using it again.

Your sponge should last between 1-3 months, depending on how well you treat it, but once it starts to look starts to tear, please replace it. The better care you take of your sponge, the longer it will last.

Always squeeze out excess moisture after use and hang it in an airy place to dry. A damp environment will shorten its life and cause this natural product to decompose faster!

Next is a hair removal cream.  What's the difference between this and the Clear Hair Removal Cream?  According to the SA, this one is milder so it can be used in the underarms thus it explains the illustration in the box and thank goodness the box has english descriptions and instructions!
TonyMoly Hug Me Hair Removal Cream
P398
7000 won
It has milder scent too and a little runnier than Clear Hair Removal Cream and has a milky white color.  To  be honest, this did not remove all my hair in the leg area because I shaved before so hair is coarse and a little thick.  What I like though is that this cream makes the hair finer and the growth slower (after one month of use) and it's really mild that my skin doesn't sting at all.

From the box. here's the description and instructions:

This fast, convenient hair removal cream leaves your skin feeling smooth.  This cream removes hair as well as soothes sensitive skin with shea butter, which has excellent skin soothing and moisturizing effects.

Directions:  Before applying, wash and towel dry the area with unwanted body hair and apply a liberal amount of cream so that the area is fully covered.  After 5 to 10 minutes, rub the area with the tip of your finger to check if the hair wipes away easily, remove the remaining cream with a wet towel or the spatula that comes with the product, and wash off with water.  Use more than once (an interval of several days) to completely remove any short, rough hair from the shaved area).

Queen Water Bamboo

Queen Helen.  Laneige Water Sleeping Pack.  Ecotools Bamboo Brush Set.  So, does the title now make sense?

after 2 or 3 months this are the only items that I got (patting my back for control )

Not counting the Gmarket Haul 2 since I ordered it in April and was stock in customs for more than a month and this one from here, it's already been 2 or 3 months since I bought anything.

I ordered the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack around  April I guess? and bought the Queen Helene Mud Pack when I went to Healthy Options in SM Mega (a first) first week of July then also got the Ecotools brush set last week (I don't know why I ordered a brush set since I only use my hands to apply some make-up but anyway it's so fluffy!!!).

Oh now I know, I was influenced by my sister who is starting to collect Real Techniques brushes (she ordered her brushes in US so I ordered too...nee-chan let's stop please???).

And yes, I finally changed the face of this blog.  Let me know if there's any hoopla that you will encounter if your browsing it.

Thanks, from sleepy Arya

My Thanks with Coffee and Music

I checked my blog today while sipping coffee (after months of not drinking one) and headbanging to the tune of The Temper Trap and I am deeply surprised that there are still around 200 visits a day, wow thank you. The *ahem* blogger in me hasn't died yet, I still look into the products that I use as if I'm going to review them but everytime I log-in and start typing, no words can come out of my mind arrgghh. I also can't keep up my mind as to what template to use, so I usually waste 2 hours just browsing the net, looking for a simple yet fun looking template.

my headphone plus my frog stirrer :D

Oh I also already watch Despicable Me and the minions are really funny (I wanted to tell the story but of course I can't). I enjoyed the movie though I got a little nauseous because of the 3d effect (my first time).
