May 2014: Updated Skincare Products

Since it's summer season, I wanted my face to feel light so I trimmed the products that I use on a nightly and morningly(?) basis and if you wanted to know what I'm using before plus the extras please go to My Current Skincare Products post.

Let's start with the morning skincare products:

Laneige Moisture Power Essential Skin Refiner
I thought that this is like an essence and I blame the refiner in the name for buying this.  This is a really good toner:  it's not drying, with minimal tingling sensation, it does soften the skin and removes residue from my cleanser if I don't rinse my face properly, but at the same time expensive as a toner.

Laneige Water Bank Essence
I got four 15ml of this essence and it's light enough for summer yet moisturizing enough for me to sometimes skip an emulsion or cream.  This is a bit similar to the Missha Super Aqua Essence that I tried before but this one is more moisturizing while the Missha one is more refreshing to the skin.

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream
I got this eye cream in sample sachets because it's so darn expensive!!!  My undereyes is still the same as before but I like it in the sense that it just moisturizes without being heavy even if this cream is thick.

Missha Super Aqua Hydrating Emulsion
I ditched moisturizer during day time and replace it with emulsion.  Although it takes a bit time for my skin to absorb emulsion, it's not as heavy as a cream yet it moisturizes almost like a cream during summertime.

IOPE Mild Sun Cream
(link from a similar product)
I use this instead of the Missha emulsion when I'll be out under the sun for hours.  I like how it gives my skin a nice glow and it doesn't make my face look flat and white.

For my nightime skincare routine, I usually use these products:

Laneige Moisture Power Essential Skin Refiner
Same as above but I make sure that during nighttime, I use cotton pad to apply this product to really just make sure that my face is free of make-up and other gunky stuff.  I sometimes just put this toner at the palm of hands and apply it on my face on my morning routine.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule
The bottle is gorgeous and so is the content (mine is just the 10ml size).  This oil-and-serum-in-one (well to me) ampoule just brightens my face, my skin is glowing in the morning when I wake up.

Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream
Same as in my morning routine.  Sometimes, I use this after my moisturizer.

Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream
Not my favorite cream but I got this for free when I bought the serum from the Regenerist line.  It's thick that turns into somewhat powdery after some time but that's not what I'm not into it...there's a weird grits that I'm feeling when I'm applying this but it seems smooth in my eyes (unless the grade of my eyes went up again, uh oh).

Do you change your skincare products in every season of the year?

Blues with a Touch of Pink and well...Brown

Here goes the bundle reviews again, this time I have four products to talk about.

Cetaphil Skin Cleanser
I hate this when I was a kid because it doesn't bubble (bubble makes a kid happy, right?) but when my skin allergy declares war, I have no choice but to use this or Dove.  Now that I'm older, I appreciate how mild and gentle this cleanses; and at the same time, soften my skin.  It's a 2 in 1 product too because I can use it on my face and body (and sometimes in my scalp too) and my skin just loves it!

Lander Foot Scrub
I saw this from one of Shayne's post of queenofallyousee.com (visit and greet her blog, it just turned 1 and Shayne is hosting a giveaway!) and because it has a peppermint on it, I got intrigued.  It's a mild foot scrub that can be use on a daily basis and the peppermint scent is just relaxing, it tricks my brain into thinking that my feet somehow feels cool.

Soap&Glory Hand Food
I sometimes hate the smell of this one but it's just mild that I can live with it and just concentrate on how well it moisturizes my hands and my feet too.  It's non-sticky and it says in the description that it has shea butter, macadamia oil and MARSHMALLOW!!!! yum yum.  I also like how it softens callus.

Bench Organics Coffee&Honey Body Scrub
Now if I get lazy making my own scrub, I reach out to this scrub.  It mildly scrubs without drying and it has honey which is a natural skin softener and has antibacterial properties.  I can't smell the coffee part and I can't tell if this can really firm and tone skin.  Aside from crushed apricot seeds though, this one has polyethylene which irritates my skin lately so I might not get a third tub.  Too bad, I really like the smell and gentleness of this scrub.

Next month, I think I'll bundle hair products for this kind of post.

Yema Cupcake with Pastillas De Leche more like Milky Cupcake to me

I thought that this cupcake will be wicked:  yema (which is yolky and sweet) with pastillas de leche (which is milky and sweet) combine together?  Sounds wicked and ant friendly to me!  But it's the first time that one of my siblings commented that frosting is needed for the cupcake to have it's taste (he's not a fan of frosting) in short this actually has a very light sweetness that the frosting is needed for the cupcake to have it's own identity (and if you are following me on instagram, this is not the cake/cupcake that I've posted lately...that one is super yummy).

I got the Yema Cupcake with Pastillas De Leche Frosting a.k.a. Cielitos from Adora's Box blog.  The cupcake is supposed to be my resurgence after my defeat with a bun which totally failed (my siblings/guinea pigs thought it was hopia/mooncake) and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies which is too salty and  sweet (and I haven't found the perfect recipe, all seems to be the same sets of ingredients and amount with the one I based my cookies).

I wouldn't be putting the recipe here since I didn't alter the ingredients and method or research for an alternative recipe, I'll just try to explain the texture and taste of this cupcake.  The "cake" itself is so dense like a pound cake but it's not yolky or sweet like yema, it's more on the milky side and it's almost bland that it's a must to put a lot of frosting.

The frosting on the other side do taste like the pastillas de leche, milky with just the right amount of sweetness.  Combined these two together and you will get a Milky Cupcake.

p.s. I still suck at cake decorating and putting frosting

PIZZA

Sorry for the blurry photo. I think I'm in a hurry to eat when I took the photo above so that completely explains the blurriness.  Anyway, I finally tried to make pizza from scratch all thanks to Byron Talbott but I still have to practice more on dough making, I totally suck and there are times that the dough won't totally rise (like the one in the photo below).  I think I need to search for that dry active yeast to engulf the beauty of making dough (the ones in the supermarket nearby only sells the instants).

tomato sauce and dough

As for the sauce, I just used diced tomatoes that are in can because I don't have a food processor.  I also skipped the oregano (this spice is not appreciated in our household) and sometimes reduce the amount of the chili flakes from Mr. Talbott's recipe and just add 1 tablespoon of sugar (instead of two) in the dough.  I tried putting 2 tablespoons and the crust was too sweet, it's almost like pandesal.

assemble and bake and voila!

Yum yum, I now like lots of tomatoes and basil leaves in my pizza.  I wouldn't be posting the recipe in this post, just go to Byron Talbott's youtube channel here.  And if you have a wonderful pizza recipe from scratch, please do share it with me ;)

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

I'll just go straight to the point:  Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream is more of a preventive kind rather than the "recovering the prime state of your skin" gel cream.  If you have wrinkles and wanted to get rid of them, then this is not the product for you.

Since the explosion of snail, bee, snake and whatever based products,I've been curious as to why they became so popular and gave in when I found out  that this snail gel cream from Mizon is cheap.  The one in the photo above is already my third tube (they are on promo when I bought them from Bae Lu) not because I'm so much in love with it but because I wanted to consume the trio before they expire.  It's not a bad cream, I'm actually impressed when I first use it since it made my skin and my wrinkled hands so soft and smooth and plump but like the other Mizon products that I tried (like Mizon Pore Tightening Lotion), this also works up to a certain extent only...let's say 30% and with continuous use the 30% will remain in your face! (and hands too if you'll use it there).

By the way, this is recommended for use after your moisturizer, I tried it and it's like I'm already wearing a thick mask so I just replace my moisturizer with this. Then when I'm done with the first tube I went back to my usual moisturizer and go back to this when I'm halfway done with the former and that's when I observed what I hate the most about this product:  mini breakouts for the first week of usage and then breakout again when I stop using it and half of the softness and smoothness effect also goes away.

Like I told you, this is not really a bad moisturizer but it will not give a long lasting effect and will definitely not help with wrinkles (or it will help by making your skin plump, but still my wrinkles/lines that are a bit deep already never said bye bye to me).  Well, I'm already in my late twenties and should already be using anti-aging products rather than these kinds of creams that are more on the preventive side.  Right now, I use this gel cream as a wash off mask since I like it's semi cooling effect.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil

I know, crazy editing of photo up there but I'm liking it.  I've been down lately so some splash of color is very much welcome.  Anyway, I'll be sharing with you this "weird" product from The Body Shop.  Weird in a way that I can't find in the net how dry oil really works but I find this really amazing and I keep on praying that The Body Shop will offer some kind of promo to all their dry oil.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil is a dry oil that is for body, face and hair.  It is supposed to be an all in one product but I only use this on my body as my face react to this badly like a mini zit will appear after just a couple of application and  it just won't work on my hair.  BUT on my body, this works wonderful as it just sinks in to my skin leaving it soft and smooth (and the longer I use it, the smoother my skin gets) without the grease of an oil or even from the lotion.

Aside from Community Fair Trade Brazil Nut Oil, there are other three precious nut oils in it namely kukui, sweet almond and Community Fair Trade marula oil.  I'm not sure how these oils smell but this dry oil so so sweet like a concoction of sugar and caramel then sugar and caramel then sugar and caramel (and on and on and on) that I wouldn't be surprised if there are ants crawling on my skin.

I also find this convenient to use.  While my skin is still damp, I spread an ample amount all over my body put my towel on and before I could find the clothes to wear for the day the dry oil already sunk in to my skin (way faster than my usual lotions).

Tried dry oil lately?

Etude House Baking Powder

You may deduct from the photo above that a.  it is well love, b.  overly use and c.  has been with the owner for a very long time.  I've been using this Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist for around 6 months (turning 7 this end of May) and finally it's time for me to say something about it (and nope Etude House is not selling baking powder but it would be cute if they are selling one...I imagine it in a cute container and I will tell people "I bought my baking powder in Etude House and look at it's cute packaging!", okay stop the nonsense and on with the details!).

Description:  Formulated with Baking Powder to penetrate and cleanse deep within pores to remove makeup and residues.  Maintains rich, smooth lather for moist sensation.

How to use:  Wet face and dispense small amount onto hands.  Lather and apply foam to face, gently massaging entire area.  Wash and rinse thoroughly with warm water.

I mainly got attracted with the "cleanse deep within pores" because my pores on the cheeks area look big although I have dry skin meaning my pores attracted lots of dirt and oil.  The rich, smooth lather is a bonus:  it's so foamy and dense it reminds me of a shaving cream (so if you suddenly ran out of shaving cream, you can just use this as a quick substitute).

This foam cleanser is refreshing not only because of its lemony scent but also because it feels like it removes all the gunk in my face every after use especially this summer where all my skin do the whole day is sweat.  On cold weather days though, I feel that everyday usage of this cleanser just strips all the oils of my skin leaving it dry, tight and sensitive so I only use this every other day for the first two months of the year.

If you're a foam lover (like me), use this with a cleansing brush or a konjac sponge to create an abundant amount of foam:  just a pea size of this cleanser is enough to cover not just your face but your neck as well (and sometimes my pits too hehehe, it seems like it also removes deodorant and helps in removing b.o.).  Although, my pores are still visible they have improved and is less noticeable than before.  It will also help if you use warm/lukewarm water in cleansing the face as it will loosen the unnecessary oils clogging the pores.

Now if you're going to ask me, "can this remove make-up" - I'll just state my usual answer:  I don't know, I always double cleanse whenever I put makeup and this cleanser is just an assurance that everything has been removed and that my face looks and feel fresh and clean.

That's all for this cleanser and share your favorite cleanser or your favorite Etude House product with me :) (I love EH 's collagen cream).

May 2014 Haul: Basics

Whenever Watsons go on sale, I go a little cray because I can get the chance to get basic stuff at a discount even if the discount is just 10% to 20% off.  I also took advantage of The Body Shop's buy 1 get 1 promo and got body butters and bb cream.  Then got a pair of shoes from divi and a sunglasses from a mall back in my province.

I'm going back to baby friendly body cleansers because my skin gone really sensitive lately.  Got lured with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser's buy 1 get 1 free promo but I have to use it before September 2014.  I guess I can't go wrong with Dove Gentle Exfoliating Nourishing Body Wash because Dove was always recommended by my doctor when I was still a kid and Johnson & Johnson's Baby Bath.

For hair, I just got some conditioners and a hair treatment.  Herbal Essences Hello Hydration seems nice and since I love the hair treatment, I also got the Naturals by Watsons Olive Conditioner as a backup.  I'm making my own hair treatment now but when lazy days strikes, I'll just use HairFix Hair Treatment Deep Repair which has Argan Oil and Aloe Vera (seems like every drugstore stuff now claims to have argan oil).

Thanks to The Body Shop's anniversary sale I finally got the Chocomania body butter which I got at 40% off plus I also use my points from my card so I almost got it for free.  My sister and I take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 promo on the Olive body butter and the All-In-One BB cream (almost or all their make-up we're on sale and got tempted to get some eyeshadows).  The red box is a freebie, all thanks to the nice SA for reminding me.

Lastly a pair of shoes from the infamous Divisoria which is only $7 hehehe and a sunglasses which I like very much (surprisingly! I am not a fan of sunglasses before) and the price my goodness is $1.50 and I saw the same one in the mall here in Manila for $7 (I guess the case cost $5.50?).

Very basic and I hope I buy much much less next month.

ElishaCoy Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch

Whenever summer comes to my mind I think nautical: blue stripes, boat, ship, anchor and also pirates, which has nothing to do with the product that I'll be sharing with you today (random thoughts strikes again!) but it's place (literally) has something to do with summer.  I love putting my masks in the refrigerator for a more refreshing and cooling experience, apparently I have this ElishaCoy Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch in the fridge since last year, mama mia CRAZY me!

Description:
ElishaCoy Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch
Containing 70% all natural snail slime
Containing purified snail slime, the gel gives your skin a cool feeling, rich with moisture and nourishment for your skin, while tightening your skin to give the long lasting moisture you desire.

How to use:
Remove clear film from the patches and fasten adhesive sides to areas beneath the eyes.  Remove patches 15-20 minutes.

Tried different kinds of masks but this is the first time that I tried a gel type which is actually cooling (very summer appropriate) and convenient because it somewhat sticks to the skin so even if I bob my head up and down or left and right,  the gel patch is still under my eyes clinging to my eyebags.

Lucky that the ElishaCoy Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch doesn't smell like any snail, it actually doesn't have any scent but getting the gel out of its case is kinda hard because of the slipperiness.  The essence is just enough or maybe because it just got stuck in our fridge for a very long time that the gel patch; which by the way is thick and is like a semi-harden jelly, just absorbs almost all the liquid.  10 minutes after application, the patch seems to run out of essence but appears to be still wet and cool so I just let it stay for another 10 minutes by this time I felt a bit of itchiness in my eyes.  After removing the patch, my under-eyes is moisturize sans the stickiness and look less tired.  I don't know about the tightening part but the coolness (very much appreciated this summer) of the patch makes up for it.

Not a necessary item but a gel patch's presence is much appreciated by a dry, tired or puffy under-eyes.

May 2014 Playlist: Usual + Cover and Mixes

Spotify is now my brother's bff and he shares his addiction with me (speaker all over the place, hooray).  There are times though that I'm not enjoying his music of choice because the lyrics is just full of bad words and sex that I couldn't understand what's the essence of the song but when it comes to acoustics and covers and some of the rock songs, most of the time we are on the same boat.  Claire Marshall of HeyClaire uses mixes that surprisingly suit my taste so this May 2014 Playlist includes acoustics, covers, and mixes aside from my usual sound.  Enjoy!

Glow Hibou
Pompeii Bastille (Magony Session)
Cosmic Love Florence + The Machine (Live on KEXP)
Shot At The Night The Killers (Cazette Remix)

Use The Same Old Song Mighty Mike

Cafe-UK Co.

I may not have photos of the place (because it's awkward when my niece's classmates are around) but I still manage to play 2048 in the iPad attached in the coffee bar area which by the way is COOL,  Cafe-UK Co. is another cafe that I visited while being lost (well, just me since my niece know the place and I'm just a nagging auntie who keeps on saying "are we there yet") in the surroundings of UST (University of Sto. Tomas).

photo from www.cafe-uk.co

"Undeniably, coffee partakes a huge sum in one’s everyday routine. Be it on breakfast tables, to-go meals, business and casual meetings, afternoon snacks or even cram sessions; WE MUST HAVE OUR CAFFEINE!
Here at Café-UK, hooking you up with your daily dose of freshly vacuum-brewed “energy in a cup” isn’t just our priority but we strive to be your # 1 go-to place for your caffeine fix.
Our three storey café is decked with a multitude of bar stools, cushioned chairs, couches, electric outlets, and (drum rolls please…) 60 x 100 cm drafting tables for those who need to do their plates while enjoying their own cup of joe. Plus we also have a naturally ventilated smoking lounge.
Did we mention we embedded iPad units in our café tables too? Still not good enough for you? How ’bout we top that off with free 10 mbps Wi-Fi. Time to say goodbye to the hassles of buffering!
Hot, iced, blended, decaffeinated, or with an extra shot of espresso; whichever way you want your coffee, we definitely have something for your tastebuds. And if you’re not so much of a coffee person, we also have tea-based drinks. Choose from our wide array of cakes and pastries as well. All our products are patterned to your own liking, so just tell us how you want it and we got you covered.
So if you need a place to study or just chill, hit us up at the corner of J. Berlin and P. Noval street. Drop by anytime you want, we’re open 24/7."
Reese's Cheesecake P140

The dim light is enough for the students to read their books and enough for my eyes to chill out, not a fan of their music though but those are not the reason why I stop by the place.  I came to have a sip of frap and eat cakes.

I decided to get a Reese's Cheesecake (because I just love cheesecake) and I thought of something light and it seems like the lightest cake on the menu is Grandma's Carrot Cake. Although not overly loaded with Reese's, I still appreciate that the cheesecake taste like cheesecake and by that I mean I can taste cheese unlike others that are full with cream and sugar.  It's also pack and surprisingly filling and the sweetness and saltiness is balance enough for me :)

The Grandma's Carrot Cake on the other hand is too sweet and unfortunately, lacks a bit of a character.  If I'm blindfolded I wouldn't have guess that it's a carrot cake.

Grandma's Carrot Cake P140
Of course, we needed some drinks and my niece and I are addicted with almost anything with peppermint, so we got Peppermint Coffee.

Peppermint Coffee P130 for tall
Through the years, my preference of coffee changed. I now like brewed, sometimes with creamer or milk or just plain good ole' brewed coffee (signs of aging?).  I'm a fan of frappuccino before but lately I noticed that the fraps in coffee shops are more like sugar, sweet flavorings, whipped cream and less coffee so I was shocked when my niece said that the drink we ordered is too "bitter" and only find it okay when she thoroughly mixes the drink with the whipped cream on top.  I on the other hand wanted more coffee from this Peppermint Coffee, I guess I should have asked the barista for another shot or I should have opted for their Vacuum Coffee which is their specialty in the first place (again; like when I visited Cafe Bene, I didn't do any research and if you happen to want to know the menu then go here (munchpunch).

Any coffee shop you fancy lately?

KB Collagen

Everytime I post about a skincare product that is collagen based, there will be comments like "Collagen is effective if taken orally". Well thanks to KB, I now take collagen tablets.

Why collagen and why I'm a bit addicted to it? Well, collagen is naturally present in our body and is vital in strengthening blood vessels and for our skin's elasticity and strength.  As we grow older, the amount of collagen in our body decreases and that's when wrinkles and other skin issues appears (by the way I'm no expert and just read these stuff from the net).  There are many ways to bring back collagen into our system like injectables or by taking supplement like KB Collagen.

"Experience total revitalization with KB Collagen as it brings you the most complete system renewal packed in tablet form.  It contains Fish Collagen to replenish stored collagen the body begins to lose at the age of 20.  Collagen is important in maintaining skin health as well as the structural integrity of joint cartilage.  The Cartilage extract blended into the KB Collagen helps relieve swollen joints and heal the body naturally.  The Silk Peptide Pearl Powder and Pearl Coix Extract work to complement the Fish Collagen in reviatalising the skin and gives it a natural fair and pinkish glow.  CoQ10 is included in the blend to help maintain a healthy cardiovascular system.  Vitamin E is added to provide anti-ageing qualities.  Swallow Nest Extract and Vitamin C complete the formulation to help strengthen immune system."

Ingredients:  Fish Collagen Peptide (200mg), Vitamin C (40mg), Cartilage Extract (20mg), Silk Peptide (10mg), Vitamin E (8mg), CoQ10 (4mg), Bird Nest Extract (2mg), Pearl Powder (.6mg), Excipients: Dextrin, Cellulose, Stearic Acid, Calcium, HPC

I'm glad that Vitamin C is already included in the formulation because I read that it is needed in the collagen absorption (note, I forgot the exact term).  It is suggested to take 1-3 tablets a day before breakfast ro before sleeping.  Since it says in the box that I have to consult a doctor if I have any special allergy, I just took a tablet for three consecutive days (stubborn me) and I wouldn't lie, I feel a little bit itchy.  So I changed my intake to a tablet every other day until the itchiness went away (around a week) then I went back to taking 1 tablet per day and so far so good.  After around 3 weeks, I noticed that my pale skin has a bit of pinkish glow and overall my skin smoothen especially my arm area (and I hope my underarms too, soon).  My premature wrinkles and laugh lines are still in place but at least I don't see new ones.

and this is how the tablet looks like

KB Rotenyu Meguri Japanese Body Scrub

When I watch Naruto (manga/anime series) before I always want to also go to a hot spring complete with a towel in the head and just relax.  I did once finally in Coron in an open area one with the nature (sans the towel since I was not prepared) and it was oh so good, it's just so relaxing and it made my skin soft and smooth instantly.  Wouldn't it be nice to experience it every now and then?

After a stressful and sore (because I practice yoga again) week, I finally used the KB Rotenyu Meguri Japanese Body Scrub (the blue one) which was given to me by KB/Yumeimise.  Okay to be honest I thought that this is just like the scrubs that you apply directly on the skin but this is more like the salt scrub or the bath bombs that you dissolve on a hot water but this only this one from KB says to have the following effects:

"KB Rotenyu Meguri Japanese Body Scrub is good for removing dead skin. It also removes unattractive body odors. This multi-purpose scrub may help relieve the following conditions: Heat rash, eczema, pimples, chapped skin, frost bite, dry skin, bruise, sprain, shoulder stiffness, nerve pain, rheumatism, lumbago, sensitivity to cold, hemorrhoid, coldness before/ after giving birth."

To use, just mix the the scrub to 200ml hot water (hot but tolerable) and sink into your bath tub, in my case I have to slowly pour it into my body because...well I do not have a tub.  For a more relaxing feel,  I put a face mask and a hair mask on and a towel on top of my head and let the faucet slowly drip some droplets of water.  After 5 minutes, I started to gently rub my skin and there goes some dead skin cells.  Instant effect includes skin smoothening and relieving of stiff and sore shoulders.

KB Rotenyu Meguri Japanese Body Scrub has 4 variants:  Green, Blue, Orange and Fuschia Pink which actually represents the color of the scrubs.  The blue one has an herby-florally scent which didn't appeal to me at first but became a relaxing smell in the end.  A 30g sachets cost 69 pesos and if you have questions or wanted to know more about this scrub and other KB products, you may contact this number: 09178005836 or visit these websites: www.ilovekb.com or www.yumeimise.net.

If you wanted a DIY or at home hot spring like experience, KB Rotenyu Meguri Japanese Body Scrub is a good and an affordable option.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

SUMMER Faves

Here are some random products that I'm loving this summer (aside from my sunglasses and a tumbler that keeps my drink colder longer than when a usual glass).

I'm not going near the beach so I'll just fake a sun kissed skin with these blushes.  The Ellana Icon just makes my cheeks pinkish and reddish at the same time (as if I pinched myself) while the one from Nature Republic is like an old rose with a bit of a tan in color.  Most of the time, I layer these two for a reddish tan color (and for longevity too!).

I heard about this lip blushes from a fellow blogger last year (but it seems like she's not blogging anymore) and got myself and orangey with a touch of pink one because it just brighten up my lips and it's moisturizing (and cheap too). It's not very pigmented like lipsticks which oddly, is what I'm looking for in a lip product.

IOPE Mild Sun Cream SPF 35 PA++ (link is just the for a similar product)
Finally found the sun cream that I really like.  It's liquidy which spread nicely on my skin, it has a nice smell, doesn't make my skin looking white, it's moisturizing and kinda already primes and it also gives my face a nice glow (a 15ml of this sun cream is included in my current giveaway).

THIS IS THE LIGHTEST SLEEPING PACK THAT I TRIED, EVER!!!!  And it just makes my face glowing and of course moisturize that I wish I could use it every single night.  Now I know why this is a beauty favorite.

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to all mothers out there, mwahs and hugs :D

April 2014: And It Goes On and On and On

Here and there I've been hauling different kinds of things that may not even work.  They accumulated and my mini department store bore 3 mini branches and then one day I just look into them and their topsy turviness just makes me nuts.  So aside from the clothes and book section, I also started looking into my "beauty" stash and decided to get rid or give products/things that I haven't used for quite sometime or just stuff that is not working for me anymore.  I already started last month with my March 2014: Let It Go post which resulted into the disappearance of 1 branch and I'm continuing it until my mini department store is half full and there's 1 mini branch left.  I will also be sharing my empties, as usual :)

It seems like lotions with whitening ingredients makes my skin go berserk and that is just sad because I remember liking the Nivea UV Whitening Serum before as it's light and moisturizing enough with just the right SPF, so sad that I have to let this go but thankfully my niece like it so I'm giving it to her.

Definitely going to the trash are the Betadine Feminine Wash  because, yes it does really clean the part down there when I have period but it's so drying actually all the feminine wash that I tried do not work well for me so I'll just stop the hunt then I got a whitening soap, the C.Y. Gabriel Pink variant to lighten the scars on my legs as it helped me when I was younger but it does more damage now than helping so I'll just have to throw it.

Last two items to throw are the Etude House Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base because I think it's already expired I mean a year has already passed since I started using it, anyway I still have 1 make-up base that works like this in my stash and then I also have to throw the Essence Mosaic Compact Powder.  I really can't finish a make-up, please forgive me.

This month I hit pan a lot of products.
It took me what like 5 months??? before I could finish the Watsons Conditioner and I still have another bottle which I will use as a base to my diy hair mask and as a shaving cream.  The familiar 15 ml Laneige Water Bank Essence (a deluxe sample size) that lasts for 3 weeks is also part of this family of empties and the new favorite cleanser, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser which I can use all over my body (even my hair sometimes, crazy I know).  Still have some of the Lacvert Pure Deep Cleansing Oil but I'll just include it in this empties round since I think I can only use the remaining twice?  Anyway I have and been using this cleansing oil for more than 6 months I think and I like it!

You already know how I love Nature Republic's Aloe Gel, so there it is lying empty beside The Body Shop's Vitamin E Body Butter (which is the last body butter I have from the many body butters that I hoarded from TBS) with the well loved Apple Blossom Shower Gel and Body Lotion both of which have a very lovely and refreshing apple smell!

Oh by the way, new to my sidebar is an amazon widget where I list some of my favorites!

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!
