Missha Creamy Latte Strawberry Cleansing Foam

Aside from samples and sheet mask, most of the time when I'm new with a brand I usually get a cleanser to try because it's one of the cheapest product.  So for Missha,  I got cleansing foams that I thought are refill packs from GMarket.

Missha Creamy Latte Strawberry Cleansing Foam

I got this strawberry cleansing foam together with the chocolate and green tea variant for only 7000 won ($6.71) in GMarket (chipipay , right?).  Aside from it's cheap, the packaging is also lovely and elegant in my opinion:  girly but matured enough for me to like the appearance.

In general, the Creamy latte Cleansing Foam contains Milk that makes skin clean, moisturized and nourished.  The Strawberry variant are for those with normal skin type.  Green tea are for those with oily and/or sensitive skin type while the Chocolate are for those with Dry skin.  I should have started with the chocolate variant but just got really interested with the strawberry  because I'm thinking of strawberry milk shake.

korean everywhere, how I wish I know how to read and write and speak hangyul

At first, I got really disappointed with the scent because I can smell a "burning chemical" (it's hard to explain) from it so what I do is thoroughly lather the cleanser first on my hands before applying it on my face that way I can't sniff the chemical fragrance part and all I can smell is the heavenly strawberry milk-shake smell ~yummy~

weird or gorgeous?

Another interesting part of the cleanser is it's appearance, it's in shimmery pink that glimmer's under the light that I think every girly girl out there will like (correct me if I'm wrong).

As for it's cleansing prowess, it's just okay.  It can remove the usual dirt in my face but will not leave it squeaky clean, it leaves a moisturize feel though (I wanted a cleanser that can do both).  I don't think it can remove heavy make up too (I tried removing my non waterproof eyeliner with it and it takes a lot of rubbing before it was remove off my hands).  In short, this cleanser should be use after removing all the make-up off the face and would be great with the double cleanse method.

Well, this is my third post for the day and I'm running out of word and sense? so bye for now.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Mizon Herbosys Ampoule

A week has passed and I'm still sick but I guess the weekend is the sickest of them all because I slightly lost my voice and my friends and family teases me whenever I try to talk saying I have a sexy bedroom voice or a deep whisper voice.  I don't know why I'm sharing this ahahaha, have you ever experienced this kind of dilemma?

Moving on, here's another review for Mizon products.  Pardon the pics, I don't know why our windows are extra dirty and dark in the pic ahahaha.

Mizon Herbosys Ampoule in Deep Sea marine Collagen and  Herbal Orange Blossom

Again, I got these two for only 500 pesos with Bae Lu so that's like 250 per bottle.  For an ampoule, I think that's pretty cheap and don't worry these are still being sold by Mizon (they are not in promo this time though).

Herbal Orange Blossom Ampoule

I first tried the Orange Ampoule variant because it says in the description that it helps to brighten and revitalize dull skin (I have dull skin!, check!) and it really  does help in brightening and revitalizing dull skin but up to a certain extent only, say 20% to 30% only.  I already finished this product but the effect won't get any further, continued use will only maintain what has been achieved for the first two weeks of using the product but anyway I love how it helped in lessening the appearance of my freckles.

sorry, but my phone cam can't focus on the product
It should smell orangey but this ampoule smells like a flower, a delicate one so I'm okay with it and it's cloudy in appearance and a bit sticky that those with combi or oily skin might have a little trouble with it's consistency but for me with a dry skin, it's actually just okay...at first it's sticky but I'll just allow around 30 seconds to a minute to pass before I apply my cream and everything seems normal meaning my face don't look oily.

Next is the Deep Sea Marine Collagen Ampoule.

Deep Sea Marine Collagen Ampoule

I actually gave this to my sister.  Use it a couple of weeks then gave it back to me because it's too sticky for her (note that she have an oily skin).  Tried it and have to agree that this one is extra sticky than the orange variant.

and this is how it looks like

If you have read most of my skincare posts, then you might have an idea on how I like products with collagen so without a doubt I got excited when I first tried it (even with the sticky issue, I figured that I'll use it during nighttime).  I like that's it's really moisturizing and the scent is really relaxing, not a weird like fishy smell.  I have to stop using this on my face though because I had an allergic reaction to it (I'm allergic to seafoods but I never thought that I will also have a reaction with products with marine derived ingredients).  Well, I'm not sure about the ingredients in this ampoule because everything is korean.  But then again I don't want to waste product so my feet gladly accepted this ampoule (happy feet).

Overall, If you are on a budget or just starting out in skincare...Mizon products are a good choice, I mean they are affordable and is effective on a certain level.

Mizon Ultra Repair Wonder Cream

I am supposed to post this last week but ohhhhhh bed weather and all I wanted to do is listen to Silversun Pickups or watch essiebutton on youtube and lie in bed and eat (I actually already eat all my junk foods for the week, opsie!).  Even the pictures that I took expressed how lovely the bed weather is last Monday so I got tamad na naman.

Mizon Ultra Repair Wonder Cream
At some point of my blogging life, I got so addicted to GMarket that I always get high whenever there's promo (later did I know that they always have some kind of promo) and got this cream from Mizon.  Not directly from GMarket though but from Bae Lu, my medium in buying korean cosmetics/skincare from GMarket and if I'm not mistaken I got this; together with an eye cream, for 500 pesos (not bad for a 300 ml cream).

So Mizon Ultra Repair Wonder Cream is an all in one product that can be use on the face and body.  From their GMarket page this is being compared to one of Kielh's products (never tried any Kielh's product though) and is said to be a superhero to save dry skin which pretty much explaing the tub's packaging.

white cream

I started to use this at the pick of Manila summer and it made my face a little oily during daytime so I only used this during nighttime and on my body only but had to stop because it's just too hot and humid that I decided to reserve this cream on rainy days (a good decision for me).  That's when I started to hate this product because it gave me minor breakouts but come last week of June up to know, I came to appreciate how lovely this product is.  First, it really saves my dry skin from drying further by moisturizing it without the sticky feeling.  Second, it does makes my skin soft and velvety as if I'm wearing a "leg balm" (forgot the exact word but Missha is selling a balm that makes the legs look flawless).  Third, it gives this sheen as if I put a cc cream on my body, I don't know if you can see it on the picture but that's how I see it.

when applied

Now before you say wow, there's an important fact that you should know:  this product is discontinued by Mizon ahahaha what a waste huh but there are still some online shops that sells this cream.  I guess Mizon is improving the Ultra Repair line as I see some products under this line from GMarket with new packaging.  Well, they really have to improve it because if you noticed "normal" is misspelled in the packaging.  I wanted to be more specific with this post but what's the use if this product is discontinued?  Anyway, just sharing what I think about it and maybe in the future, try the newer formulation because it's cheaper than my usual body butter.

Oh this one comes with a freebie, a full size eye cream (that's why I love shopping with Bae Lu, she gives me the freebie that comes with the product that I order).

Ultra Repair Wonder Eye Cream

I got really excited to find this eye cream on my package because it's free!!!  I got high hopes when I first used this because it's just amazing how the liquidy texture turned something into creamy.

it's like a serum

This eye "cream" is easy to apply because of it's liquidy texture that turns into something creamy once applied and spread under the eyes.  Sadly, it didn't do anything to help my undereye problems (i.e. dark circles, wrinkes) plus it looks as if my eyebags are oily and it always leaks, I'm planning to transfer this to a bottle and use it as a foot  lotion because I don't want to waste product and I think it's moisturizing enough for my feet.

Well that's it.  I hope we can all make wonders this week.

Sample Sample Din Pag May Time

We like freebies right?  Even if sometimes we don't use them and because I don't use them immediately I got tons of sample at the back of my closet.  So I made some time to use half of the samples that I got from my purchases.

Here's some quick thoughts on some sample products.

all from Mizon
First batch are all from Mizon which I got from my haul from Bae Lu.  Let's start with the toner which has the same consistency as with almost all the toners that is also a little moisturizing than clear ones and almost like an essence.  It does leave my skin a bit moisturize but there's nothing really special about it (I don't know why it's expensive for a toner) plus it smells like liquid floorwax.  Next are the products derived from snail mucus:  the All In One Snail Repair Cream and Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule.  Both of the products are light and doesn't have a snail smell which is good (I don't want to smell like a snail).  I kind of expected a lot from these two because they're the first snail product that I used (also, I had these when almost everyone is hailing about the power of snail mucus) but it failed my expectation, yes they are light and provide just enough moisture but I didn't feel the "wow" factor when I used the duo.  Maybe samples sachets are not enough to prove the power of the two snail products from Mizon.  Lastly, the Returning Starfish Cream.  Odd name but I'm guessing one of the main ingredients have something to do with starfish?  Anyway , I kind of like this product because it's moisturizing enough not to let my skin dry for a long period of time even when the A/C is in full blast.  At first it gives my face a heavy feeling but after 30 seconds to a minute, it's as if I'm not wearing moisturizer yet my face is well moisturize.  I hope no starfish was harm if my guess is correct.

random stuff dominated by Skin Food

I am not a fan of Skin Food's skincare products but the Mushroom Multi Care BB Cream is a bomb for me.  It just wowed me and made me forget the ineffectivess of the skincare products from this Korean brand.  It's light and liquidy that application of this bb cream is a breeze.  It also matches my skin tone and brightens the overall look of my face.  Coverage maybe a problem because it's more on the light side (medium if applied 2 layers) but not for me since I'm always after the natural look, it just make my skin looking smooth amidst it skin imperfection (thanks to Hipstyle for giving this as a sample).  The cactus set (toner and emulsion) is just strong for my face it's like I'm applying Eskinol and Lifting Eye Serum is a plain fail for me, it didn't do anything.

Enough of the Skinfood lets move on with the Nature Republic Forever lasting Essential Emulsion (the yellow on top).  It was release I think on winter season to cater the dryness of the skin and it's really really moisturizing (no questions about that), I don't think that I can handle the cream though with the Philippine weather.  Lioele Daily Soothing Essence is such an amazing product: it's an essence that already has an SPF of 30 which is already enough for me to protect my face.  I hate applying sunblock because of the icky feeling when worn plus the white cast plus the awkward smell so I'm very liking this essence, it's just so perfect for me.  I'm also liking iWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream which is readily available in Watsons both in sample sachet and tube.  It's light (very light that even those with oily skin can handle it) yet moisturizing and cheap too and it has sample sizes that I can bring on travels (I'm actually going to buy 1 later for my October quick out of the town).  Plus it didn't breaks me out.

another random samples from different sellers

I got these samples from GMarket, Bae Lu, bhappywithme and Kkochi Pida.  I'll start with the unfamiliar brand well for me, the V on U.  It works like other grocery type hair treatment almost have the same consistency with conditioners, overall it's okay.  It's skin Toma Jelly Cream is fun to use because I just like it's gel consistency and it's cooling on my face.  The pleasant tomato smell is awesome too.  I'm neutral with the Power 10 Formula VC Factor, I don't know what to tell about this product...maybe it's an okay product but there other serums that are far better.  Moist Steam Cream from Nature Republic  is also something that are for winter season, kinda heavy and makes my skin a little oily.  Lastly, The Innisfree Eco Natural Green tea BB Cream which I also like because it has medium coverage yet it's still look natural on my face.  Consistency is a little thicker and heavier with the Skinfood but I can still easily apply it on my skin then spray a mist to tame the heavy feeling.  The smell is a bit on a medicinal side but it's nothing to strong, my nose and I bet your nose can handle it too.

Enprani Whitecell + The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss

Back when I'm obsessed in brightening my skin (I give up now), I bought this foam cleanser that promises to brighten and helps skin tone become clearer.  Aside from that I'm also curious because it's my first time to see this brand (bought it from an online seller named Hipstyle) and the packaging seems classy and sophisticated.  According to KoreaDepart:

info from Korea Depart
So here's the foam cleanser together with my newly acquired Ecotools brushes.  As you can see it's so plain but really classy plus the box of this one has this glistening silvery effect that looks a little magical and thought I paid a little for the product (sorry I forgot how much but it's less than 300 pesos).

Enprani Whitecell Foam Cleanser
Description:
Brightening foam cleanser which removes dead skin cell and helps your skin tone become clearer.

Not much information but according to again Korea Depart (I'm no way affiliated with Korea Depart by the way, it's just that they have the information I need):

Exclusive ingredients  (Smart Radiancell™)YouthCell™Moist Activator Complex™enzyme (Papain and pro-melanin)

Product Description:
-Controls melanin production to create clean and transparent skin.
-Through white cell science system, blocks melanin step by step to maximize whitening effect.
-YouthCell™ ingredient creates dense and smooth skin texture both inside and outside.
-Takes care of lack of moisture to remain moisture for hours.
-Capsule that contains Vitamin E derivatives creates clean and smooth skin texture.
-Enzyme exfoliates old to brighten skin tone refreshingly.

Very promising right?  So I bought this in an instant even if it's out of my budget.  So, I started using this foam cleanser around June by just taking a small amount (it easily creates foam so no need use a lot) making sure that the yellow beads are included then rub it in my hands then I gently massage it on my face.  The yellow beads pops into smaller-tiny pieces and act as a gentle scrub.  Then I wash it off with tepid water (although the instruction said with warm water).  I feel that my face is totally cleansed (as in squeaky clean) with this but since I have dry skin, I also feel the need to put my face essence immediately so I think this is best for those with oily to normal skin type.

I also use this cleanser to wash my brushes as it easily removes my basic make-up (bb cream, lip and cheeck tint, blush, lip balm) without taking away the fluffiness.

the yellow beads pops!
Although this one didn't brighten my face the way I wanted it (I guess my face is just really dead pale), Enprani Whitecell Foam Cleanser did help in making my skin tone a little clearer, I mean there are some parts of my face that looks a little darker and they look like patches (cause by my skin asthma) and they somehow lighten and not as visible as before.  I also like how this one makes my skin squeaky so I sometimes used it as a body wash whenever I feel that my body accumulated all the dirt in the world.

I really don't know what they are
Next is a Christmas/Holiday season body polish edition from The Body Shop.  I know it's not yet Christmas but again, I can't resist 50% off sale plus I like Vanilla, plus (yup another plus) after August, it's the start of Christmas season already (well in the Philippines, whenever the  ~ber~ months starts, we somehow feel the feeling of Christmas that some already start planning on how to hang their Christmas lights and parol and how to decorate their Christmas tree).

Nothing much to say actually because it's the same as the other body polishers from The Body Shop (you can read my post of the Gingerbread Polisher variant here) the only difference is the smell and the beads.

The Body Shop Body Polish in Vanilla Bliss
As you can see it's almost empty in the picture and while I'm doing this post, the container is already in the trash bin.  So the below picture shows different kinds of beads.  There's these smaller black seeds that I think are from kiwi and there's this big seed which I believe to be from vanilla (based on the ingredients list) and I don't know what the rest are made of (maybe debris from these seeds, not sure but they still gently scrub my skin).

not sure what particles these are but the big one easily pops
The vanilla smell is overpowering so it's a good thing for me that the smell lightens a lot after I shower and by the time that I put my clothes on, the smell totally disappears which makes me love the Gingerbread variant better (the small is more relaxing and more clean). I'll use the raspberry soon, let's see if the Gingerbread will still be my favorite.

And of course the ingredients lists.

I see kiwi seed and vanilla seed
Can't wait to hoard The Body Shop stuff after the holiday season :)

That's it.  Share your thoughts below and hope you continue to support my blog by following me via bloglovin, email and other social media networks that I'm still cleaning up but do share my posts if you like them :) (pathetic much?).

Raspberry and Pumpkin for a mask from TheFaceShop

Because of my messed up body clock, I woke up at the wee hours of the morning and is on the third and hopefully final post for the day (while eating avocado, clover cheese and chili, hello panda and toblerone, while sniffing because of an uncontrollable colds achooo).

Speaking of last, these two masks that I used are the last from the first batch of masks that I hoard ordered from TheFaceShop through Bae Lu.

First would be one of my favorite masks from TheFaceShop:  The Real Nature Mask Raspberry.

TheFaceShop Real Nature Mask Raspberry
Aside from the funky smell (mixture of raspberry juice and the sweet raspberry smell of candies), I also love how it soften, smoothen and how it made my face plump after just one sleep.

nice words :)
Not sure about the anti-aging etchos that is on the description but I enjoyed using this mask as it's refreshing (even the smell is refreshing, nothing too alcoholic) and the essence is not sticky nor heavy on the skin unlike the next mask.

TheFaceShop Real Nature Mask Pumpkin
I thought this mask would be...wait for it...LEGENDARY!  Because of it's out of this world variant:  PUMPKIN.  Well, I was proven wrong (huhuhu..sob..sob...sob), it's one of my dislikes as it's sticky, heavy, strong smelling (let's just say it's a drunken mask because of it's alcohol smell) and most of all, didn't do anything significant on my face.

"and I though this can restore the youth of my face..."
So yeah, with all the drama while saying ..."I thought this can restore the youth of my face" I regret to inform the facial mask lovers out there that this one didn't do anything significant on my face (let me know your story if you happen to try this).  The only benefit I got is I discovered that there's an expiration date indicated the packs of TheFaceShop mask sheets ahahahaha.

a very long shelf life
I'm running out of words and I think the way I talk (actually, write) is getting funnier? (like a drunken kid from a bottle of beer) and blurry so this will be the last post for the day.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

TonyMoly Facial Sponge and Hair Remover

Here are two TonyMoly products that are in pending for a very long time.

This "puto" (a filipino rice muffin) looking thing is a facial sponge that a friend of my friend bought for me from Korea last February.  I got curious about konjac (you can check the benefits of konjac sponge here) and looking into this product while in a store in one of TonyMoly here in the Philippines keep me thinking if this squishy sponge can really clean the face.  Answer: Yes, it does clean the face!

TonyMoly Natural Konjac Cleansing Puff
100% Natural Fiber
pH 8.4 Alkali
P198
3000 won
Cleaning my face has never been this fun.  This sponge lightly massages, soften and exfoliates without stripping the moisture off my skin.  It also lessen the appearance of black and whiteheads.  My face also feels clean even if I don't use a facial cleanser (while I'm using this, I don't use facial cleanser in the morning...medyo nakatipid ako).  The tear drop shape has it purpose by the way:  I use the smaller part on my undereyes and the sides of the nose while the bigger portion is to the rest of my face and neck.  Since I can't afford a Clarisonic, I'll stick with these kind of sponges (bought a generic circle one in Landmark at only 60 pesos, I'll try as many konjac sponges as I can.  Update, tried the circle one and the tear shape of  TonyMoly's is easier to grip).

Take note though that you have to thoroughly clean this every after use by soaking and squeezing it many times until the water runs clean.  I am in a hurry one time and only soak and squeeze it twice and the smell went bad (it should be oderless).  Also there's this one time that I didn't use it for 4 consecutive days, it dried which is normal (just soak in the water and it will go back to it's squishy state) but the next day I saw a green line so I have to throw it after just one month of use.

without the string, it looks like a food to me
Here's the description and notes that I found from Tony Moly Singapore facebook page:

TonyMoly 100% Natural Konjac Cleansing Puff

Before use, wash the sponge thoroughly, soak it in water and squeeze it several times.

Gently massage it on your face in a circular motion to exfoliate dead skin cells and for deep cleansing. This will help to stimulate tired skin, revitalize your skin & encourage skin renewal. Cleansers or facial foams can be added to the sponge if desired, but is not a must.

If the sponge is dried, always allow it to fully absorb water before using it again.

Your sponge should last between 1-3 months, depending on how well you treat it, but once it starts to look starts to tear, please replace it. The better care you take of your sponge, the longer it will last.

Always squeeze out excess moisture after use and hang it in an airy place to dry. A damp environment will shorten its life and cause this natural product to decompose faster!

Next is a hair removal cream.  What's the difference between this and the Clear Hair Removal Cream?  According to the SA, this one is milder so it can be used in the underarms thus it explains the illustration in the box and thank goodness the box has english descriptions and instructions!
TonyMoly Hug Me Hair Removal Cream
P398
7000 won
It has milder scent too and a little runnier than Clear Hair Removal Cream and has a milky white color.  To  be honest, this did not remove all my hair in the leg area because I shaved before so hair is coarse and a little thick.  What I like though is that this cream makes the hair finer and the growth slower (after one month of use) and it's really mild that my skin doesn't sting at all.

From the box. here's the description and instructions:

This fast, convenient hair removal cream leaves your skin feeling smooth.  This cream removes hair as well as soothes sensitive skin with shea butter, which has excellent skin soothing and moisturizing effects.

Directions:  Before applying, wash and towel dry the area with unwanted body hair and apply a liberal amount of cream so that the area is fully covered.  After 5 to 10 minutes, rub the area with the tip of your finger to check if the hair wipes away easily, remove the remaining cream with a wet towel or the spatula that comes with the product, and wash off with water.  Use more than once (an interval of several days) to completely remove any short, rough hair from the shaved area).

Mizon Ampoule Essential Sheet Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Here's the brand story of Mizon from Korea Depart (because I can't find any English site of the brand):
"Mizon started with renowned Korean cosmetics company employers.  By having our own cosmetics manufacture company, we develop high-quality cosmetics and try to satisfy our customers with rational cost and great quality."
Mizon Original Skin Energy Ampoule Eseential Sheet Mask Hyaluronic Acid
Mizon Ampoule Essential Sheet Mask [Hyaluronic acid] contains highly enriched hyaluronic acid which improves skin elasticity and skin texture by effective moisturizing.
Average price online: $2.50
Got mine for P35 from Hipstyle
The weather in the Philippines is stable: it's crazy hot.  But my skin decided to go against it and turned dry (usually, during summer time my skin is somehow in it's normal state) so it's needs more moisture and a little nutrition.  I chose a mask with hyaluronic acid because it is known to provide and hold moisture in the skin.

Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/57045-benefits-hyaluronic-acid-skin/#ixzz2SvAuPevq

Mizon called "BEAUTY DOOR" is the way to beautifulness which is always open.  Once you open the door, you will see the world of beauty you have always imagined.  Close your eyes and recall the world of grace you want to achieve.  MIZONs BEAUTY DOOR will lead you to the newly born world of BEAUTY.
20ml of essence for me is not enough.  When I pulled the sheet out from it's packaging, there's really nothing left for me to apply to my neck plus the sheet mask is enclose in a plastic that kind of get/lessen the essence content of the mask.  Others liked a mask that is enclosed in a plastic for faster placement in the face as they say but I find it harder to put the mask in my face plus it contributes to the ever increasing garbage in the planet (although I know it can't be helped, I mean the sheet mask itself is a garbage).  Anyway, the essence is transparent and almost has no smell.  It's not sticky after I rub my hands into the plastic sheet but removing the mask after 30 minutes, the essence got sticky (it seems that the longer I let the mask sheet stay on my face, the stickier the essence gets).  For those with oily skin, I guess splashing some water after use will help reduce the stickiness as for those with normal or dry skin tapping for around 5 minutes is the best remedy.  I actually wanted to rinse my face but what's the use of using sheet mask if I don't let the essence stay on my face?
yeah this is half of my face
After 10 minutes the mask sheet started to dry and almost completely dry 20 minutes after (temperature is around 30○C when I used this).  I'm already used to odd shapes of mask but this one is the oddest of them all even the cuts didn't help.  It seems that my chin and jaw plus my nose are too small that I have to fold the mask sheet in those area.  Good thing though that it's a bit thick and didn't got a tear when I'm tugging and pulling it.  It's also not irritating to the skin, it's like baby wipes.
back part with description, how to use, ingredients
This mask is really moisturising.  Sticky at first but once the skin absorbs the essence plus a good sleep, it made my skin soft and a little tighter that I keep on pinching my cheeks.  Not sure about the brighter and lighter aspect though.

Innisfree It's Real Avocado Mask

Ahh avocado, one of my favorite fruit in the world especially when turned into a fruitshake:  sweet, creamy, yummy, refreshing and filling it brings back memories of childhood (we used to have avocado in our front yard before) and of Ka Lui in Palawan which is 3 years...holy guacamole, that's been a long time.  I must find a real avocado but for now I'll settle with this avocado mask.
Innisfree It's Real Avocado Mask
with avocado and green complex
950 won in GMarket/around $1 in ebay/got it for P35 from kkochi pida
The description in front is the same with other variants and at the back of the packaging everything is in Korean so I made a short search and it says that this mask nourishing and moisturizing so by the time I used the mask, I told myself "Ahhh this is perfect, my face is drier and paler than normal".
no translation
Now the scent kind of disappointed me: it has a faint alcohol plus there's no avocado smell to it, but the silky sheet compensated it.  It's a bit thin though so harsh tagging and pulling can tear the mask.  Mine got a tear when I tried to perfectly fit it in my face.  Yeah, got a little trouble fitting it especially in the nose and cheeks area but the cuts help plus the thinness and silkyness also helped in making the mask stay in place on my face for an hour.
thin and silky, just almost the way I wanted it
The essence; surprisingly, is more like an emulsion/face lotion - it's white and creamy and it's plenty that I had enough left to be use for 3 days.  After an hour, I removed the sheet mask and I hated what I saw in the mirror:  oily face.  It's not super sticky and heavy though so I let it on my face, got some sleep and when I woke up I made the right decision of not washing my face after removing the mask sheet because my face looks healthy.  I know I over used in this blog words like smooth and soft but seriously among all the masks that I tried, Innisfree mask made my skin at it's most smooth and soft state.  My pores got a little smaller too and the effect lasted for 3 days (actually I'm still counting and I think it would last up to 5 days).  Now for the full description, here's what I found from Yesstyle:

"Highly moisturizing facial mask is packed with protein and moisture-enriched avocado essence that feeds skin with nutrients for more softness and vibrancy after every use. For best results, use mask on cleansed face and leave mask on for 10-15 minutes. After removing, massage in remaining essence and follow with a moisturizer if needed. Recommended for normal to dry skin types." -www.yesstyle.com

Avocado for the skin?  According to Reader's Digest, avocado can hydrate parch skin.  It helps prevent dry skin and brittle hair and nails because it's a good source of biotin.

I skipped the moisturizer by the way.

Watsons Rose Water Facial Mask

I'm back.  After attempting to write in a notebook or computer, I finally able to write a post.  Been sick, tired and stressed for the whole week for an unknown reason, are you experiencing it too?

Okay so this post is just about the Watsons mask that I bought for only P29 (around $.70).  Hooray for P10   off (cheapskate alert!) so even if I know what Watsons mask essence is sticky, I still manage to grab 2.  One of them is this Rose Water.
Watsons Facial Mask with rose water and natural plant extracts
Revitalising and Moisturising
P39 original price got it for P29
I pick this variant because an article about how relaxing rose water is.  Also search some of the benefits and here's a portion of an article from http://www.holistichealthherbalist.com

"Rose as an herb is very cooling, soothing, anti-inflammatory, and astringent…the perfect recipe for those suffering from acne. Apply it to red, hot to the touch, blemished areas for a calming effect. The best method is to spray it on directly.
"Rose water is also quite antiseptic, so acne causing bacteria don’t stand a chance with regular use as a natural skin toner.  It’s properties benefit sensitive, irritated, dry, and even oily skin complexions by controlling sebum production. Rose water even balances the skin’s PH levels and tightens pores making them appear smaller."-www.holistichealthherbalist.com
the 9 cuts didn't help a lot
Upon opening, I can smell the relaxing smell of rose water but don't worry it's nothing too flowery.  One thing that I don't like though is the fit of the sheet mask.  It's too small especially on the eye area, I only have to half open my eyes.  It's a little short on the jaw area too nut since it's pack with so much essence, I just put the excess in the not so covered areas of my face.  Enough bullying of the sheet mask and start praising how thick and nice it's texture- it's not irritating and cannot be easily thorn.
Since I put the mask in the freezer I feel the instant freshness (hot weather=hot face=the need for cold stuff). I also did a little massaging using the mask prior to opening it because the essence frost and the massaging part helped in fast defrosting plus my face relaxed a little.
30 ml of essence
Funny how Watsons emphasize where the mask is made now.  I believe it wasn't there before, just saying.  Going back to the essence; as expected, it's a sticky and a little slimy so for those who don't want to have the heavy feeling caused by the sticky essence then splash some water after use.  As for me, I just pat the excess essence and surprise it made my skin look refreshed.  When I woke up (I used mask before sleeping but don't leave it on for the whole nappy time) another surprise!  my skin look fairer to the point that I think it lighten my freckles and it seems like I wore a bb cream with a volumer or something that makes my skin look naturally matted but has shine (the pleasant kind of shine.  The effect is only good for a day though.

Not bad for a P29 or less than a dollar mask right?

Skinfood Facial Water Vita-C Mist

I feel hot.  Don't get me wrong, it's not my figure that I'm talking about but my skin  (I'm a chubby chix =D).  It's just the start of the summer but the weather is so hot and crazy that rain suddenly poured last week but it didn't subdue the high temperature but this facial mist did!  Well not the weather but my sweating and burning (I'm exagerating) face.

Skinfood Facial Water Vita-C (Mist)
Drink for Skin.  SKINFOOD Facial Water
A facial water mist that fills thirsty skin with the vital hydrating energy of Vita C complex and Alaska glacier water.
145 ml (full size) at $14.89 in amazon
50 ml (miniature) at P195 in bhappywithme
I got mine from bhappywithme (ebay ph) and despite being a miniature, it's miniature is so decent it really sprays mist rather than droplets of water (unlike the others that I encountered).  It's sodecent that just a spray can cover my whole face without looking wet.

I don't know exactly how Skinfood source the Alaska Glacier water:  maybe they send a team to Alaska, take a huge chunk of ice from the mountains and bring it to Korea or buy the alaska glacier water that are in bottles sold by a company I chanced upon while searching info for the said water (I'm just joking).  I don't know what's so special about Alaska Glacier Water but it is said that it's one of the cleanest and purest water on earth.  I do not know if it's true but here's Skinfood's take:

[Alaska Glacier Water Story]
Alaska is on initial source of water covered with over 20,000-year-old glaciers. Alaska glacier water is fresh water at mildly alkaline pH, enriched with oxygen, minerals and ions. -source theskinfood.com

So aside from the Alaska Glacier Water, Facial Water Vita-C Mist have Vitamin C enriched berries: Rasberry, acai berry, cranberry and strawberry, that delivers revitalizing hydration.  These fruits explains the citrusy smell of the mist which is really refreshing.

Mist I think is not really necessary in skincare.  For me they are just toners in a bottle with atomizer.  But who can blame a girl who despite wearing a semi-corpo attire goes out of the house fast walking to catch the trains (yes two trains) and run to beat the clock (in order not to be late to work) but still wanted to have a fresh looking face to conceal the sweat all over her body.  Well not me, I can totally understand her =)  Besides; after the unexpected exercise, a quick perk-me-up refreshment for the skin is much needed and this mist in a bottle has it.  Never tried to put this in the refrigerator as I don't want to scare the people in the office but Skinfood suggested that to enjoy a cooling skin treatment, refrigerate before using.  As for me, I immediately spray this mist on my face straight from the drawer and it really refreshes and hydrates my skin for let's say 30 minutes (cooling only last for seconds).  It's hot inthe Phils. so I spray 3 times a day.  An hourly spraying vigil is needed if the weather is extra hot.

TonyMoly Shiny Foot Peeling Liquid

It's official, I'm a magnet of corn.  I hope it's the corn that can be eaten (I love Japanese sweet corn, sweet and golden!) but it's the kalyo (corn or callus) and I have plenty of it again after just a few months of having a foot peel.  TonyMoly saved my feet (again) with Shiny Foot Peeling Liquid.
TONYMOLY Shiny Foot Peeling Liquid
P498
20ml each
This special treatment for foot calluses contains plant-derived extracts, and will make your feet soft and supple. It removes rough dead skin cells from your feet, leaving your feet smooth and silky soft.

The two foot sachets comes with 2 big plastic socks (reminds me of the foot of Santa Claus in greeting cards).
Special foot masks with skin smoothening & moisturizing ingredients present fresh and supple feeling on the foot's skin.
(me: ano daw?)
I used the Maxi Power Foot Peeling Liquid last year (post here) and it's quite effective but surprisingly, Shiny Foot Peeling Liquid did a lot more peeling.

There's an english instruction on how to use the product but since my picture below is a bit blurry, here's the exact text:

Directions: Please read the instructions thoroughly before applying.
  1. Put Foot Sheets on your feet
  2. With scissors, cut open the pouch containing the peeling liquid along the dotted lines and pour the liquid into both sheets (20ml each).
  3. Keep both sheets on your feet and wait until your foot skin absorbs the liquid. (it takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours)
  4. After waiting for about 1 to 1.5 hours, take off the sheets and wash your feet until the peeling liquid is thoroughly rinsed away. Dry your feet after washing.
  5. In 4 to 6 days, the dead skin cells will naturally start falling off from your foot. DO NOT try peeling them off forcefully. Wait until all the dead skin cells naturally fall off, then you will feel no irritation or discomfort. Your will have smooth and soft feet in about two weeks.
So for almost 2 hours (yes, I extended the time until I feel that the there's no liquid left in the plastic socks),  I'm just sitting with the socks filled with the peeling liquid but unlike with the Maxi Peeling Liquid, I'm tilting my feet every now and then for the liquid to go to the other parts of the foot.  I didn't feel any irritation it's actually kind of refreshing because the liquid has a cooling effect but my feet got a little wrinkly.

Four days after, my feet started to looked cracked, see picture below because it's not the crack that hurts.  It's the first layer of the skin cracking and trying to break free from my feet :P
snake skin?
And in the span of almost a week my feet continued to peel (please see below photo if it's okay for you to see peeling foot) even my skin and side of my nails peeled.
I know I have a weird feet
And the final result!
after around 9 days of peeling
It's more than a week of wearing closed shoes for me but it's worth it because of the almost baby feet after.
