Etude House Baking Powder

You may deduct from the photo above that a.  it is well love, b.  overly use and c.  has been with the owner for a very long time.  I've been using this Etude House Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist for around 6 months (turning 7 this end of May) and finally it's time for me to say something about it (and nope Etude House is not selling baking powder but it would be cute if they are selling one...I imagine it in a cute container and I will tell people "I bought my baking powder in Etude House and look at it's cute packaging!", okay stop the nonsense and on with the details!).

Description:  Formulated with Baking Powder to penetrate and cleanse deep within pores to remove makeup and residues.  Maintains rich, smooth lather for moist sensation.

How to use:  Wet face and dispense small amount onto hands.  Lather and apply foam to face, gently massaging entire area.  Wash and rinse thoroughly with warm water.

I mainly got attracted with the "cleanse deep within pores" because my pores on the cheeks area look big although I have dry skin meaning my pores attracted lots of dirt and oil.  The rich, smooth lather is a bonus:  it's so foamy and dense it reminds me of a shaving cream (so if you suddenly ran out of shaving cream, you can just use this as a quick substitute).

This foam cleanser is refreshing not only because of its lemony scent but also because it feels like it removes all the gunk in my face every after use especially this summer where all my skin do the whole day is sweat.  On cold weather days though, I feel that everyday usage of this cleanser just strips all the oils of my skin leaving it dry, tight and sensitive so I only use this every other day for the first two months of the year.

If you're a foam lover (like me), use this with a cleansing brush or a konjac sponge to create an abundant amount of foam:  just a pea size of this cleanser is enough to cover not just your face but your neck as well (and sometimes my pits too hehehe, it seems like it also removes deodorant and helps in removing b.o.).  Although, my pores are still visible they have improved and is less noticeable than before.  It will also help if you use warm/lukewarm water in cleansing the face as it will loosen the unnecessary oils clogging the pores.

Now if you're going to ask me, "can this remove make-up" - I'll just state my usual answer:  I don't know, I always double cleanse whenever I put makeup and this cleanser is just an assurance that everything has been removed and that my face looks and feel fresh and clean.

That's all for this cleanser and share your favorite cleanser or your favorite Etude House product with me :) (I love EH 's collagen cream).

Till then, Arya

Missha Creamy Latte Strawberry Cleansing Foam

Aside from samples and sheet mask, most of the time when I'm new with a brand I usually get a cleanser to try because it's one of the cheapest product.  So for Missha,  I got cleansing foams that I thought are refill packs from GMarket.

Missha Creamy Latte Strawberry Cleansing Foam

I got this strawberry cleansing foam together with the chocolate and green tea variant for only 7000 won ($6.71) in GMarket (chipipay , right?).  Aside from it's cheap, the packaging is also lovely and elegant in my opinion:  girly but matured enough for me to like the appearance.

In general, the Creamy latte Cleansing Foam contains Milk that makes skin clean, moisturized and nourished.  The Strawberry variant are for those with normal skin type.  Green tea are for those with oily and/or sensitive skin type while the Chocolate are for those with Dry skin.  I should have started with the chocolate variant but just got really interested with the strawberry  because I'm thinking of strawberry milk shake.

korean everywhere, how I wish I know how to read and write and speak hangyul

At first, I got really disappointed with the scent because I can smell a "burning chemical" (it's hard to explain) from it so what I do is thoroughly lather the cleanser first on my hands before applying it on my face that way I can't sniff the chemical fragrance part and all I can smell is the heavenly strawberry milk-shake smell ~yummy~

weird or gorgeous?

Another interesting part of the cleanser is it's appearance, it's in shimmery pink that glimmer's under the light that I think every girly girl out there will like (correct me if I'm wrong).

As for it's cleansing prowess, it's just okay.  It can remove the usual dirt in my face but will not leave it squeaky clean, it leaves a moisturize feel though (I wanted a cleanser that can do both).  I don't think it can remove heavy make up too (I tried removing my non waterproof eyeliner with it and it takes a lot of rubbing before it was remove off my hands).  In short, this cleanser should be use after removing all the make-up off the face and would be great with the double cleanse method.

Well, this is my third post for the day and I'm running out of word and sense? so bye for now.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

TonyMoly UV Sunset BB Cleansing Foam

Last month, I shared my TonyMoly sale haul and got this a facial wash as a freebie and loved it! and so is my sister.  It's not yet for sale and haven't also seen it in TonyMoly's international website so it's a sample...a full 150ml size sample!
TonyMoly UV Sunset BB Cleansing Foam
This mild foam cleanser effectively removes highly-adhering UV protection products and make up base products such as BB cream and foundation
Just a wash with this leaves my skin squeaky clean though I only use it whenever I wear a BB Cream (got an ample amount of this cleanser and gave the rest to my sister).   I also use this to wash my BB Cream brush (I  don't know how to call the brush and since I only use it in applying bb cream, I call it the bb cream brush ^_^) because it effectively removes the accumulated cream in just one or sometimes two washes unlike in ordinary facial cleanser wherein I have to repeat the process of cleaning at least 4 times, leaving the bristles soft and smooth.
Directions:  When washing your face, work into a lather and gently massage into the face, work into a lather and gently massage into the face, then rinse off withlukewarm water
Some ingredients that I think worth mentioning:  Carrageenan, Lavender, Matricaria, Methylparaben, Prophylparaben
I like the smell of this one; it's citrusy that kind of perks me up,  it's the smell that you get from a slice of a lemon or the zest of an orange.
and here's the facial cleanser
The cleanser is pearly white in color and is creamy and a little airy.  It doesn't produce a lot of foam nevertheless it still removes BB cream that has spf 40 off my face and it also doesn't it irritate my skin and my eyes (yeah, some cleansers irritates my eyes and make them blurry).

Thanks for reading.  Till then.  Bye!
