May 2014 Haul: Basics

Whenever Watsons go on sale, I go a little cray because I can get the chance to get basic stuff at a discount even if the discount is just 10% to 20% off.  I also took advantage of The Body Shop's buy 1 get 1 promo and got body butters and bb cream.  Then got a pair of shoes from divi and a sunglasses from a mall back in my province.

I'm going back to baby friendly body cleansers because my skin gone really sensitive lately.  Got lured with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser's buy 1 get 1 free promo but I have to use it before September 2014.  I guess I can't go wrong with Dove Gentle Exfoliating Nourishing Body Wash because Dove was always recommended by my doctor when I was still a kid and Johnson & Johnson's Baby Bath.

For hair, I just got some conditioners and a hair treatment.  Herbal Essences Hello Hydration seems nice and since I love the hair treatment, I also got the Naturals by Watsons Olive Conditioner as a backup.  I'm making my own hair treatment now but when lazy days strikes, I'll just use HairFix Hair Treatment Deep Repair which has Argan Oil and Aloe Vera (seems like every drugstore stuff now claims to have argan oil).

Thanks to The Body Shop's anniversary sale I finally got the Chocomania body butter which I got at 40% off plus I also use my points from my card so I almost got it for free.  My sister and I take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 promo on the Olive body butter and the All-In-One BB cream (almost or all their make-up we're on sale and got tempted to get some eyeshadows).  The red box is a freebie, all thanks to the nice SA for reminding me.

Lastly a pair of shoes from the infamous Divisoria which is only $7 hehehe and a sunglasses which I like very much (surprisingly! I am not a fan of sunglasses before) and the price my goodness is $1.50 and I saw the same one in the mall here in Manila for $7 (I guess the case cost $5.50?).

Very basic and I hope I buy much much less next month.

Till then, Arya

F21 BOGO and Dapitan Arcade Haul

If you read my mid life crisis post then you probably know by now that I'm bored and any little good distraction would amaze me and so when my sister said she's going to Dapitan arcade, I tag along even if I don't have any stuff in mind.  Despite having arcade in it's name, Dapitan Arcade is not a place full of coin operated entertainment machine but instead full of stuff for your homes like plates, cups, baskets, vases and those kind of stuff that makes me decorate in mind my dream flat.  It was amazing that the place looks like a mini Christmas Village right now because of christmassy decors that my sister couldn't help but get plates with a santa and a snowman, I mean she can only use those during holiday season but still I think it's a very good buy because of it's classy feel and they are the last piece.  I also got some "last piece" stuff for my tea time that I really really adore:

why do I find it elegant?
classic cup

Think I'm weird for being ecstatic for having a big plate and a cup?  Anyway I got those two for only P90 although I think I could get them for P70 if I'm good at bargaining.

I love this effect from pixlr

Moving on,  another distraction for my week is Forever21's sale and BOGO (buy one get one).  I went to the Makati store last Friday evening because my sis went home at around 3pm carrying two bags of F21 goods giddily reporting to me that she found some steal stuff.

So I march inside the store and my oh my the place is in total wreck and the ladies are like bees swarming on every rack of clothes leaving it empty and I'm not exaggerating because I saw a rack of camis and went around for 5 minutes and I when I went back to the cami rack, it's already empty.  Whew, I almost didn't get anything after 30 minutes of looking around and would like to join the bandwagon of guys looking bored with line of shoes as their back-draft while looking and waiting for their girlfriends and wives crazily shopping untill I saw a P555 black  pants and it seems that there's this light/voice guiding me making me look left or right and down to an item.

I managed to grab 7 items but let go of the 2 other because of a defect and a size problem plus buying 4 tops and a pants in one go is already too much for me.

love the collar

This is the first top that got my attention because I'm into collars and it's just hangin in the not sale rack but saw that it has an orange price tag so I know that it's on sale and it's also part of the BOGO event.  This is the priciest that I bought at P719 (original price is P1025 around $27).

for the new year?

Another item that is just chillin the not on sale rack is this polka dotted sleeveless top/shirt dress that I think is perfect for the New Year because it's polka dots plus it has this  ruffles? I don't know what it's called but it can perfectly hide my tummy in case I eat to much.  P619 originally at P915 (around P22).

Now for the BOGOs of the the two.

I'm loving the buttons and I'm loving the "lomo" effect of this photo

The first thing that attracted me is the bronzy button of this shirt.  I'm also loving that it fits perfectly in my shoulder area but a bit loose all over, it's makes me relax but I hope I can wear this on a job interview :P
This is P619, a perfect BOGO for the polka dotted top.

I love the leather detail

Just a simple shirt that I almost bought two months ago (and hallelujah I didn't bought it) that is crumpled on the floor of the store.  Luckily it's on my size and it's only P569 and is the BOGO of the first top.  I actually managed to find a good looking top that also has leather on it that is on the P700 mark to match the P719 top. It fits perfectly when I'm standing but bulges everywhere when I sit so I have to let it go.

the pants that started it all

And of course the pants...I think I'm going to get another one if it's still on sale.  The material is just okay for it's price but I'm liking that I can wear it in a formal, casual or ragged days and it also fits me and I seldom find pants that can fit my unusual body type.

I have enough of the tops but there are a whole lot more items that I wanted to buy like shoes, jackets and cardigan but well I don't think I can rock them so that's it for now and hope that there are more like these kind of promotion from Forever 21 Philippines.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!
p.s.  I'm listening to YouTube Mix - Metric | Youth Without Youth (Official Video) and I'm loving it :)

Watson Haul Again

Just got home from Watsons SM San Lazaro to take advantage of the 10% off when you have an Advantage card plus additional 10% if you reached 1500 pesos.  That's only 20% off but I go gaga over this kind of sale because I get to buy my favorite toothpaste and mouthwash at a discounted price which seldom, once in a blue moon happen.  Believe it or not it only took me 30 minutes to grab 20 items and swatch and line and pay at the counter and I'm even in a petiks mode (I'm just confused why everyone is in panic! mode I wanted to scream "Guys relax, Friday na ngayon).  Anyway, aside from the stuff that I mention earlier (plus some of my sister's personal stuff too and some cream hand soap which are always present in my basket whenever there's a Watsons sale) here's my Watson's haul for October.

One of the cheapest pore strip I guess is from Watsons, I got the Charcoal nose Pore Strip for less than P100 (original price is P109) for 10 strips.  Also got an Argan Oil Body Lotion (original price is P299) because the packaging attracted me plus it says it has argan oil hehehe and I wanted to buy the scrub too from the line but I restrain myself.

I'm becoming a huge fan of Watsons products

Next are hair products.  I'm pretty much okay with the shampoo that I bought last time so I also have to buy a conditioner from Watsons because it's dirt cheap, I got mine on a buy 1 take 1, 50% off promo (gasping whoa!) so I got 2 gigantic conditioners for P249.  Then while strolling around the hair care section I just wanted to grab a hair treatment, I noticed a college girl (how did I know? she's wearing a nursing uniform...just saying hehehe) looking at some products at the bottom shelves and lo and behold it's Lorys.  There are 3 variants present and I got the Shea because my hair is normally dry (original price is P185)

for a beautiful hair

Lastly, I wanted a cheap brown eyeliner (why cheap you say? because I'm still practicing and seriously I draw lines in my eyes like a 5 year old!) plus an orangey cream blush that are on a chubby stick from Elf (forgot the exact name) because I love the corale~pinkish that I got before but the SA said they don't have one instead she recommended a...guess what...a much more expensive cream blush ahahaha.  Anyway, it kinda looks good because it's not to bright and colorful for a blush and has this subtle sheen on it that looks like a bronzer too..something like that...it's hard to explain because I'm a genin level when it comes to make-up but my sister said it's a nice looking blush (so somehow I have a good taste *all smiles* from me)

Elf Blush in Peachy Keen

Lovely packaging plus it has a mirror on it and can be applied with just my fingers so hooray!  No need for additional brush or a puff ((?) gosh I'm clueless).

And this is how it looks like

Crazy Sale in SM Makati Haul

So I was kind of looking forward to go and shop to Forever 21 in SM Makati as a treat to myself, went to Forever 21 website and imagine myself wearing the clothes that I wan. So off I went to the store last Friday and let the 1% fashionista in me die. Gosh, all the items that I want are nowhere to be found plus the sales item sucks. Feeling sorry, I went out to the beauty section and blended with all the crazy shoppers, as in CRAZY!!! It's the first time to witness people carrying tons or boxes of whitening soap and other toiletries. The woman in front of me spent P7000 on eyebrow shapers.

I do not have any item in mind so I just roamed around and got whatever my eyes set upon. Later did I know that I'll be getting 10% off all my purchases on the beauty section for being in the mall 2 hours after the opening plus another 10% because of my advantage card. Sheesh, I should have grab some item from Etude House and TonyMoly.

Anyway here are the items that I randomly pick...but to be honest I just need an emulsion so the other 3 are again be part of my "mini-department-store" (my sister named my skincare and cosmetics section in my closet that).  ZA is the first stall that I saw and got myself a moisturizer that is so liquidy I thought "hay, this will do (as an emulsion)".

random stuff that I bought
Then roamed around the department store again and saw a lot of korean brands.  There's Etude and Tony Moly.  Then there's Ciracle and I have to walk fast because the sales assistants are so aggressive in promoting their products.  Then I saw Olay and I'm looking for the sculpting eye serum since many bloggers have positive reviews about it but again it's nowhere to be found.  But the sculpting serum is present and remembered Bubz (from youtube) and I can't believe how expensive it is but then a sales assistant walked near me and said "hi Ma'am we are having a promo" and boom my wallet shouted nooo!!!!  Well, it's 1500 pesoses but the signs of getting older is inevitable and I can already see it on my face, Olay won!!!

Then there's Deoproce a brand made by Samsung! Kagulat ititch di ba?  I just want to try any product from them (seeing their products in my FB page) but the prices are a bit high (even their aloe gel is a bit expensive) so I just got a facial mist (I didn't test this in store so I wish this one works fine).  Funny though that the sales assistant thinks I'm Korean or a half one (it's a first, many thinks I'm either half Taiwanese or Chinese) that's why she's speaking in English to me.

After SM Makati, I went to another SM and was overwhelmed with the inexpensive rubber shoes so I bought two.  I just spent 500 pesos for both (and all these years, I've been spending thousands on Converse, Keds, and Pony).

Hay buhay!  Ang gastos :P

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Shopping Again, Spending Problem?

It's official, I have a spending problem.  Week by week I buy stuff out of a whim and pre-order Korean goodies without any hesitation.  This week is no exception because after spending thousands on baking stiff, I also bought some items that are relatively cheap but when put together gave a big hollow on my wallet.  I must impose a shopping ban for at least a month  after I pay my online orders and the only exceptions for the ban are black pants for work and ingredients for baking.

Well, shopping is still fun so here are the items from my latest haul.
for cleaning the face
I currently have a konjac sponge from TonyMoly so I have mixed feeling when I saw a similar one in Landmark at P59.75 (around $1.25).  Hay, most korean stores sell it for P120 to P200.  My sister also got curious and bought one for herself and love her first impression when she used it (ahahah she looked like a kid).  The sponge is a back-up, there's 2 in a pack so tig-isa kami ni ate (it's weird to call her ate (older sister)).  From Watsons, I got a peeling gel again as a back-up (that's one of my problem, I'm afraid to not have a spare).  And then, some make-up.
I can't believe I'm buying make-up
I really don't know what to do with the 3D compact and just bought it for experiment, maybe I can use it as a bronzer or highlighter.  Got it on sale for only P60 (around $1.50).  Then got an all over color stick which is really cheap and something for my brows which is a first, never used a product for my brows before but I think it's time to groom them.
scar fighters
For the body I got two stuff from Zenutrients.  Finally, this brand is expanding.  Hope that I would get good results from these two because if yes, then I'll be an avid buyer of their body lotions, body butter and other things to keep my body healthy and well moisturize.
hooray fro mint shoes!!!!
Alas, Mint Green Shoes!!!  I also want an oxford style shoes from Matthews but it's hard to pair it with my clothes since I'm not really a fashionista so the mint green shoes won.

Next, are some whatnots.

I'm in search for a good drugstore conditioners since my last organicone made my scalp very itchy So I'm trying Syoss this time, good thing they have mini bottles.
tame my hair Syoss, I beg you
I can't resist not to stock some hand soaps because they are dirt cheap as in P75 for 2 (san ka pa?).  Cotton pads from Saizen because I'm running out of cotton pads.  2 boxes for P88 which is expensive pala when compared to Watsons *sigh*.
never imagined that I'll be buying these stuffs, my collage self will be shock
Sorry, I haven't made any post/product reviews for the past few days.  I have 5 pending but there's something wrong with my body and I don't what it is but I'm always out of energy.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Landmark: A Happy Wasteland

One reason that makes me happy about ending my haul ban is Landmark which is a happy, delightful, wonderful wasteland for it's offers and great deals at very affordable prices.  And lucky me! all the items I got are on sale.
ZenZest Peppermint Foot Soak P108
ZenZest Tea Tree Oil P135
Artist Studio Brush P89.77
Spray Bottle P22.27
I learned about the ZenZest Foot Soak from The Beauty Junkie and also wanted to try it.  Because I bought the buffer from TonyMoly, I decided to also have a tea tree oil to help my nails to shine.  As for the spray bottle, well I can't afford to buy facial mist so I'll just transfer some of my toner to the bottle to carry around for instant freshness.  The brush is just to add a finishing touch whenever I put bb cream.  There are actually lots of soft brushes to choose from but I am not a "make-up girl" so while at Landmark, I satisfied myself by stroking the brushes one by one ^_^

So that's my Landmark haul.  What's your favorite wasteland?

Thanks for reading.  Till then.  Bye!

Wake Me Up When September Ends: The Body Shop Haul

Ooops!  I shopped again even if I said in my last post that my haul ban starts but I have reasons, okay.  First is it's still September so I decided that my ban haul will start in October.  Next is it's payday so I have money to spend ahahaha (my lousy reason) and lastly and the very important one is that, it's SALE!
image from The Body Shop, Philippines facebook page
I've been a fan of The Body Shop so I really can't miss out their Pre-Holiday Sale.  Here's what I bagged!
Vitamin E and Duo Floral Acai Body Butters
The Body Butter is the reason why I've been visiting The Body Shop lately.  To date, I have a total of 6 body butters in my closet.  I also wanted to have the Aloe variant but it's out of stock and the Vanilla duo but it's not part of the sale.  I wanted to try the Vitamin E and was so glad that I got the last piece in the shop and fell in love with the Floral Acai's scent.
Peach Body Lotion and Moringa Foaming Bath
Another last piece is the Moringa Foaming Bath and I think it's the only foaming bath that is part of the sale (not 100% sure) but don't worry there are lots of shower gel that is on 40% off.  To avail the 50% off on all my purchases,  I grabbed the Peach Body Lotion (the smell is so delicious).

I noticed that most of the products of The Body Shop are on 10% off.  Some are on 20% to 70% sale and one of them is this Cucumber Cleansing Milk which I got at 30% off the price tag.
Cucumber Cleansing Milk
I really don't need a cleansing milk as of the moment but I can't resist cucumber.  If there's a cucumber lotion that is available, I have surely had put it in my basket without even blinking an eye.

I also finally got my card for free so yehey!  All in all I paid P2,122.50 and just in case, here are the prices of the items:

Vitamin E Body Butter:  original price is P1,050 but got it at P525
Duo Floral Acai Body Butter:  original price is P995 and is now P497.50
Peach Body Lotion:  original price is P695 but I only paid P347.50
Moringa Foaming Bath:  original price is P595 and took it home at a very affordable price of  P297.50
Cucumber Cleansing Milk:  original price is P650 but is now P455 at 30% off

Sorry if I didn't took pictures of the sale items in store but you can check Helen Blas of Lucky Citrine's blog post here (I hope she don't mind me linking her post here).

Promo period is from September 28 to October 25, 2012 so there's still plenty of time to shop for yourself and for your family and friends too as an early christmas gift.  Check their promo poster here and visit the nearest The Body Shop stores to know all the sale items and promos that you can avail.

Thanks for reading.  Happy Shopping! Till then.  Bye!

Sale + Promos September 2012: Check Them Out

Coffee Lover?  Then you might want to check out Starbucks promo this September.  Check their poster below
Check their FB page here
While in SM North, I passed by SkinFood and saw that all their items are on sale up to 70% off.  Too bad, I already spend all my money on TonyMoly.

Next, well...you probably already these but Eude House and Tony Moly are havibg their 50% off sale on selected items of course.
check the sale items here
Just a heads up,  Etude House in The Block branch do not have stocks on most of the skincare products that are on sale which really made me upset since I already research and listed all the products that will work on my skin.  I ended up leaving Etude House bagless.  Good thing for me though is that the products that are on my "To Soon Buy" list are on stock and good for you if you are into hand lotions, body wash, massage cream and cosmetics since they have it on store in SM The Block.
FB Page here
As for Tony Moly, they have a lot of stocks of the products that are on sale even the masks and some other items that are not on the above picture are on 40% (will post my Tony Moly haul soon, check it out)

Thanks for reading.  Enjoy Shopping!  Bye!

Mask of the Week + Random Haul

For this week's Mask of the Week I used Nature Republic's  Brightening Mask Sheet in which I already made a mini review here.  I think it's not for sale in stores and I just got the mask from my previous purchases when Nature Republic are still very generous with GWP.  Since I already did a review on this, I'm just going to share with you what I do with the excess essence from the masks that I've been using and my random mini hauls this week.

Aside from massaging it on the face and neck, I put the rest of the essence from the mask on my feet and legs and recently I store it in clean container like the picture below and use it as a regular daily essence.  Maximizing resources and cost cutting saving money at the same time, right?  Wondering where I got the cute container?  From Landmark at P15 for two (if I'm not mistaken)
excess essence good for one week
Still discovering the wonders of Snoe so I visited the nearest kiosk and got an oil and an s-rub.  Too bad, I didn't the free sample of their item of the month.  Better luck next time Arya!
let's see what these babies can do!
And thank goodness for Sesou, I finally got ahold of Strip it.  Cheers!!!!
hope this will not give me lots of ouchies
Also, I'm so excited to visit Tony Moly and Etude House this weekend for their 50% sale on selected items of course!  Check these facebook pages for the list of the sale items:  TM and EH.

Thanks for reading.  Enjoy Shopping.  Till then.  Bye!

It's -BER Months!

September, meaning christmas is just around the corner and it's payday too meaning sales and promos are everywhere.  And,  as an early christmas gift to myself, I stop by The Body Shop and take home some goodies!
Olive Body Butter
Got the body butter at 50% off.  From P695 down to P347.50.  Heard a lot of good reviews about this body butter so I will immediately check this out and if it's really good then I hoard some since the promo is until September 6, 2012.
Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel
This is said to have cooling effect and calms swollen irritated eyes which I'm now having so I give this eye gel a shot.  It's also on sale  at P195.
Hooray for BPI
As an early christmas gift to BPI Cardholders, all gift sets of The Body Shop are on 50% off.  Too bad, I only know about this last Wednesday another too bad for the promo to last yestersday, August 31, 2012.  Anyway, I originally wanted to buy the ones in box set but there are only limited variants available so I just got the Shea Set in a pouch.

If your a fan of The Body Shop, why not drop by one of their stores.  I noticed that most of their products are on sale (mostly 10% or 15%) and if you are a Love Your Body™ | The Body Shop Philippines member then check this out!
Happy Early Christmas.  Till then.  Bye!

Sale! Sale! Sale!

Who don't want sale?  Not me!  Even a not so girly girl like me want to buy some bargains especially on sweldo day (payday; which by Filipino tradition, a mall or two is on sale).  So here's what I got this weekend  (with the nearby mall):

I got a little disappointed with Watson's mask.  I thought it's on a buy 1 take 1 promo (the poster in it's shelf say so) but the lousy and exaggerated cashier said it's not.  Good thing the Beauty Buffet mask is (surprise surprise) on sale. P59 for two.
You might already know Vitamin C but how about Co Q10?  It's my first time to hear it and the label says it helps to firm skin and reduce fine lines (I'm getting older so I need this).
I read blogs about this scrub.  Aside from it's effectiveness, it's also budget friendly they say.  P70 for 135g? Why not!
My niece bought the Garnier Brightening Eye Roll-on and it comes with this (for free I guess).  I think she don't need this and so I just asked for it (I beg twice before she give-in).
2 of my shoes broke-down this July including my attention grabber yellow shoes :( .  So I need a replacement even if I didn't set aside a budget.  So Fab! is may wallet's savior.  I got this simple and modest pair for P399.

Thanks for Reading! till then.  Bye!
