The Saem On The Blackhead

There's a time that I've been obsessed with clearing the blackheads on my face that I hoarded blackhead appropriate products (masks, pore strips, cleansers and the like).  This gel cleaner from The Saem is the second to the last item that I got and it's interesting because it says "steam" in the name.

What's more interesting is the gel cleaner's color...the ash like particles (it is said to be volcanic ash) makes the transparent gel looks gray.  Now getting back on the "steam" word, The Saem On The Blackhead Volcanic Steam Cleaner heats up once contact with skin and I really panicked the first time I used it because I thought my skin is burning but overtime I got used to it (tip: rub the cleaner between your hands first before applying unto face if your skin is sensitive with heat or you just have sensitive skin in general).  The very concept of this gel cleaner is to mimic the heat from steam towel to open up pores and remove black and whiteheads and sebum.

The yellow-orange particles burst and intensify the heat of the gel cleaner.  According to koreadepart.com, the gel will turn into oil but I didn't observe that and now that I'm reading the instructions on how to use it, I found out that I'm using this too much:  I use it on a daily basis whereas it is recommended to use it 2 to 3 times a week only, yikes!  Good thing it's not that harsh and it doesn't dry out my skin (that's a relief).  Anyway, as an everyday cleanser it does loosen up the blackheads and sebum on the skin thanks to it's  heating feature but most of the time I have to pluck or use pore strips to completely remove the blackheads that are sticking out (the blackheads won't freely detached from the skin).  Also, I don't think it can remove make-up as I see lots of brownish residue on my cottonpad (when I apply my toner).

The heating part is really interesting and can help save time when hot/steam towel is not readily available (like in my case).  You can purchase this at w2beauty.com and use arya.deguzman@gmail.com to get a $5 voucher upon registration.

Just Some Products in My Closet

It took me three photo sessions just for me to get decent photos for this post and the post before this, the new place where I moved in just don't have enough natural lighting (and props, now I miss my niece cork board) so forgive the uneven color and blurriness of my pictures.

I love aloe gel and tried some from a couple of brands namely Nature Republic and It's Skin and so far this is the one with the most aloe on it at 95%.  The Saem Big Brother Soothing Aloe Gel offers the same goodness of the aloe gels I used:  it's soothing, refreshing and lightly moisturizers the skin without being sticky...it's a good companion on summer days especially when it's as if the skin is hot and burning as this can cool it down.  This one from The Saem is more jiggly (comparing it with Nature Republic's) and is not clumpy (comparing it with It's Skin's).  I like that it has more aloe but based on availability (I pre-ordered this) and affordability (because of the shipping fee), I'd chose Nature Republic (which is most of the time available in the malls that I go to).

I got this Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relaxing Cream for free when I bought the serum from the same line...and I don't like it.  It has the same instant almost like erasing and smoothing of the skin like a primer would do effect but this one gives mini bumps on my face.  I thought the bumps would start to go away after 2 weeks of using but they just multiply so I used this instead on my feet but it's sticky and I feel a little itchiness from using it so I just have to give up on this product.  Also, I feel some grittiness when I apply it on my face, I don't know where it's coming from since the cream looks smooth.

This mist is an impulse buy when I was strolling in a mall while everyone seems to be panic buying plus it's from a brand that is new to my eyes and I can't believe that it's under Samsung!  A regular type of mist from a spray bottle which I hate because it doesn't sprit evenly (sometimes it squirts) and upon browsing mist from other brands, it hits me that I could have gotten a mist with a better packaging with what I paid for this but anyway, this is a handy mist that instantly refreshes my face without drying it or sets my makeup or tone down a bb cream when I apply slightly too much and it can also be use as a toner.  I don't know about the effect of the Coenzyme Q10 in it since I don't regularly use this stuff.

The Saem Snail Lavender Sleeping Pack

It's cute, it's affordable, and the brand is endorse by no other than GD of Bigbang:  This post is about the Snail Lavender Sleeping Pack from The Saem.

The Saem Snail Trio No. 3 Lavender Sleeping Pack
40ml
Regular price 7900 won/ around $8
Got it from Kkochi Pida for P345
Links: Gmarket The Saem/ Kkochi Pida facebook page

I kind of got into the snail bandwagon before but I wouldn't shell out a lot of money just to try it, so I did a little research in finding affordable snail based products and found this sleeping pack which generally promises to make the skin healthy and smooth.

The Saem Snail Lavender Sleeping Pack according to GMarket, the cream will make the face brighter with revitalizing look and gives the skin rich nutrition.  It has 3 main ingredients: snail mucus extract which provides the nutrition, sunflower seed oil for "burnish" skin (I don't know what it means) and niacinamide for bright and clean skin.

I can't understand any text from the pack's very cute box but online it says to apply it thick on the face at the last step of skincare and sleep with it then wash the face the next day.

light lavender or lilac color

Everything sounds lovely and this pack really makes my skin smooth, moisturize and looking healthy the next morning and I can totally replace my emulsion and cream with this but I have a bit of a complain with it's consistency that makes me use this pack once in a while only like twice a week.

I would love a sleeping pack to be on my face on a nightly basis as it gives my skin moisture and nutrition but this pack is just so thick it's like a hair wax in consistency that when I put this on my eyebrows, the hairs on my eyebrows won't budge.  Another issue; which is mainly my own personal taste, is the scent because I'm not a fan of lavender smell.  It's like the pomade that my dad uses, it's smells heavy...it's like a guy smell but because lavender is a flower it became generally accepted that it's a girl's scent (or this is just my rubbish conclusion?).

Sorry but I'm not yet done.  This pack also never fails to give me a zit or a small people.  Yup, everytime I use it I wake up with a nice, smooth, looking fresh and moisturize face plus a zit or a pimple.  But do take into consideration the possibility that I may have a very mild allergy to lavender.

With a cute tub comes a unique spatula

Those who don't want to dip their fingers on the tub, a cute spatula is included in the box which you can actually insert on the neck of the snail so you won't have to lose it.

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

I'm Hauling in Love Again this time with Sae Sil

(I'm listening to Eagle Eye Cherry's Falling in Love Again)  It's the first time that my blood boils and be palengkera at the same time (I kind of force myself so they can feels my woe) just because of a courier. In the end, I feel boggled as to what I've done was wrong or to harsh but then I paid a sum amount of money for a good service...but then again... ehhh enough, I think I'm torturing myself too much.

I made another order (my wallet is definitely skinny now) from an online seller named Sae Sil Parknshop(hmmm maybe I should make a post regarding all the online shops that I transact with this year) and I'll treat it as an early Christmas gift to myself.

Missha Sets

The items from Missha really looks like gifts because they are in a box set (maybe I should wrap them so I can open something on Christmas day since I seldom have gifts on that special occasion boohoo). I got stunned with the The Time Revolution Best Seller Trial Set because its cuter than I expected: I imagined it to be as tall as a "Venti" cup from Starbucks but it turns out it's just "Tall". Anyway the box is so gorgeous with its prism gold design. I also got the Super Aqua Special Gift Set because I'm loving the essence from this line. It's kind of lame that I didn't ordered it when it's at 30% but still got it at 20% off but still sayang yung 10% which is equivalent to 1 sticker in Starbucks (are you collecting stickers for the planner?, but I guess it's still a good buy!

they can fit at the palm of my hands

Next would be from The Saem: I got a tub of Aloe Vera Gel which is cheaper than Nature Republic's hahaha (extra moolah too for the shipping). I also got a (drum roll please) a pack of daily sheet mask from Etude House. Oh my please someone out there give this crazy lady a medication to her mask addiction.

aloe and honey

Lastly is this critically acclaimed powder: The 3W Clinic Professional Makeup Powder formerly known as Palgantong. I wanted the transparent pearl but Sae Sil is only offering the light and natural beige (I ordered the pearl from another seller, guess who?). Good thing my sister is also interested with this powder so I'll just give it to her as a gift.

3W Clinic Powder Crystal Creator Bright

And freebies!!!!!

ohhh green tea :)

Wahhh, I should have ordered a little more after my friend's order got out of stock to avail Sae Sil's freebie of the month.  I'm actually drooling over her November treat which is Pepero!

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Packages everywhere: Let's Do It the Kkochi Pida Way

Since last year, I've been eyeing this online seller Kkochi Pida but everytime Charmaine Santos (she's the lady behind the shop) posts her on hand items, someone else reserves the items that I want even if I'm not yet done browsing through the album in Facebook (so fast ladies!).  So last Monday when most are still having their beauty sleep, I chance upon Kkochi Pida's page and there are new items on hand.  It's already been posted for almost an hour but since it's Monday and in an "ungodly hour" only few are reserving and finally got my chance to reserve some items (horray!!!!).

What I like about this shop is that it offers wide variety of korean and other "beautifying" products without the heavy price tag (one of the cheapest, actually) and the seller is really nice and accomodating (and beautiful too ^_^).  Did I mention that she also sells products that are not yet discovered or popular in the Philippines? I got excited when she posted some photos of lip balms from Too Cool For School.

Anyway, here's what I ordered.
finally I am the one who got my package from the smiling mr. guard early in the morning
I kind of promise myself to get some make-up on my next orders when I got my package last time aside from bb cream so my mom and my sisters would be happy but skincare rocks and look how cute the snail is:
The Saem Snail Trio No.3 Lavender Sleeping Pack
I also wanted to get the green snail but I digressed, my wallet is getting thinner
I have a sleeping pack on the way from Korea but I can't help to get the cute snail sleeping pack from The Saem (GD will soon be the face of this brand on March!).  I always see this in Gmarket but the time that I made my first GMarket order, it's on a set of 3 sale so I passed buying it.  What I like about this sleeping mask is that it can be use on a nightly basis unlike others (used two sleeping masks and they are only recommended to be use twice a week).
7 Innisfree It's Real Mask
Finally, not just one but 7 Innisfree Mask.  I've also been eyeing the 10+10 promo in GMarket but I'm afraid of customs tax and I only wanted to buy some variants.  I hope there will be Carrot and Red Cabbage next time.  Let's see if I can also have a great skin like Lee Min Ho :P
Skin79 Snail Nutrition BB Cream
And lastly, a sample BB Cream.  I prefer sample BB Creams in tube because I'm having a hard time finishing a full size one.  Besides a 10 or 15ml tube can last from 2 up to 3 months with me and I also have more chances of trying out other BB Creams out there.
ElishaCoy and Nature Republic Freebies
Very generous freebies!!!!  Wow, maybe Charm sense how tired my eyes are (just joking, but I badly needed this patches and I now have the chance to try ElishaCoy).

So that's all for now.  I'll have another haul post next week so watch out for it and do comment your recent haul below (I love reading haul posts) or your blog here (I will surely visit it ^__^)

Thanks for reading.  Till then.  Bye!
