Etude House Royal Jelly Plus Collagen in One

Please excuse my photo, I did everything to make it look decent and resorted to layering with geometric figures...it look fine right?

After more than a year of hoarding and being addicted to sheet masks, I finally calm my senses and stopped my vice of checking almost every masks that is or has been the talk of the town.  I'm now down to around 15 sheets individually wrap and to this one from Etude House.

Now if you are using a sheet masks on a regular basis, wouldn't it be more economical to just use buy them in bulk as in like wet wipes type?  This was my thought when I saw Etude House's sheet masks that are in this plastic box that contains 20 sheets:  it's definitely cheaper and also saves a lot of plastic wraps and excess essence.  I got Royal Jelly + Collagen variant because it's moisturizing, perfect for my dry skin (nevermind the firming part) which is I think also better than just the Royal Jelly mask that is individually wrap.

The milky essence is sticky, I won't lie and most of the time I have to splash water to my face after use of the mask to remove it's ickiness but it's really moisturizing and saves my face from becoming a Sahara dessert (here goes my exaggeration).  Another unhappiness about this product that can be remedied is of course the uneven distribution of essence so every now and then I have to turn the plastic box upside down so the top sheet wouldn't dry out.  And well, if you already tried asian sheet mask then you might already probably know the fact that the shape of the sheet mask is weird that even me who is asian have a hard time fitting it to my face but it's okay...I'm already use to it :)

Mask of the Week: Collagen, a late post

I love Collagen so it's very natural for me to grab a collagen mask.  This is a very late post of my Mask of the Week (this is for the third week of of September) but it is better to be late than never, right?  So here's a Collagen Mask from Tony Moly!
Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask Collagen
Contains vegetative collagen which effectively helps to keep the skin firm and lively
Used 100% natural pulp to make the sheet so that the sheet stays silky, irritation-free and longer lasting. It also makes the moisture last long.
Aside from the ultra moisture it gives my skin, this collagen mask doesn't make a lot of a difference with my face probably because I am using a collagen cream on a daily basis.  Also, I had a minor breakout when I woke up the following morning; just 3 small bumps actually that I immediately prick (sorry, perfect time for me to use Tomatox).

The essence from all Tony Moly's Natural Pulp Essence Sheet Mask is sticky so just a little tip; after removing the mask sheet, take time to tap (mild tapping) your face for the skin to quickly absorb the essence.

Here are the other variants:
Acerola – Whitening and Antioxidant
 Pearl – Brightening
Hyaluronic Acid – Moisturizing
Tea Tree – Soothe Skin Breakouts

Mask of the Week: Vitamin C & Neroli

Another great mask from the cute cloud:  Beauty Buffet Vitamin C & Neroli Facial Mask.
revitalise and brighten
Indulge in a sumptuous feast for your skin!  This Beauty Buffet Mask's unique's recipe is made up of L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - an anti oxidant to help stimulate collagen regeneration and defend against free radicals & pigmentation, as well as soothing Neroli to help boost skin regeneration, and Glycine to help retain moisture.  Skin becomes more refined, clearer and revitalised with a healthy glow.  Naturall botanical extracts - Algae, Aloe Vera and Cucumber alsoo help to moisturise and nourish skin.  Enjoy!
This mask is refreshing and I felt a tingling sensation all over my face.  It feels sticky at first but goes away after massaging and tapping my face in front of the fan.  My skin became smooth, it's like I have BB Cream and a little Volumer on.  It does brighten my face.  The smoothness and brightness faded once face is washed even when the excess essence is applied nevertheless this is now part of my favorite Beauty Buffet Mask.

Mask of the Week: Anti-Aging Facial Mask Lycopene Extract

You probably think I’m silly if I tell you that when I first use this mask, I thought the essence would be in red (hehehe) because of the tomato ingredient.
Watsons Anti-Aging Facial Mask Lycopene Extract

This specially formulated mask contains lycopene (naturally found in tomatoes) and gingko extracts. Rich in antioxidants, they help to protect your ski from environmental damage and the signs of aging. Leaves your skin silky smooth and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

~thick mask with 6 cuts and slits on the forehead, nose and chin area that fits perfectly on my face~

Although this mask leaves my face sticky, I still grab one whenever it’s available in Watsons. It makes my skin moisturize and silky smooth (not sure with the reducing fine lines part though) and it’s affordable too, cost P39 each with overflowing 30ml essence. I just splash some water on my face after using this mask to remove the stickiness. As for the excess essence, I use it on my feet.

Hope everyone is safe and survived the flooding here in the Philippines. Stay strong and pray, everything will be alright soon.

TOMATOX

One of Tony Moly's best selling product is now in my hands.  Many have already shared their experiences with this product, most of them have oily, normal or combination skin.  I on the other hand have dry, sensitive skin so for those who have skin type like mine, hope this entry can be of great help to you.

Tony Moly's best-seller the TOMATOX Magic White Massage Pack.

It is a multi-functional massage and pack that contains tomato extract and tomato ingredient. It is designed to bring instant dual magic brightening and vitalizing and detoxifying effects into the skin.

As a soft massage and wash off mask, Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack delivers highly vitalizing, truly clarifying, magic brightening, skin hydrating and protecting effects to the skin, leaving it amazingly bright, clear and supple.
HOW TO USE:
After cleansing, apply on towel-dried face and gently massage for about 1~2min. After massaging, leave it on your face for 5~10min. Rinse out with lukewarm water and pat with towel. 2~3times use per week or use everyday as needed. -from Tony Moly Philippines
White and creamy in color and texture.  The smell is more like other über commercialize moisturizers rather than a real tomato.  The packaging is of course; CUTE, it has even a stem on top like a real tomato should be.  Upon opening, a plastic white lid  and a spatula will greet you.  The plastic box enclosing the tomato is also beautiful in red with 2 green leaves on top and has english description and instruction on one side (hoopla!!!).
So after washing and towel drying my face, I apply a "spatula-full" amount on my face and neck spreading evenly in a circular motion (since it's faster this way).  I let the product stay for 5 to 10 minutes but not for more than 10 minutes.  Why?  As I said, I have dry-sensitive skin and as per my observations, here's what happened to my face:

5 minutes                  - okay and gives the instant whitening the product promises
6 to 10 minutes          - kinda drying, it makes my face a little itchy
more than 10 minutes - small red spots appeared

I use Tomatox; most of time, once a week only.  The other times?  Whenever  I have pimples (as it helps in drying them out fast) and when my face feels oily, both of which seldom happens.
...with the flash on..Tomatox sure looks like a real tomato...
