LYB Members Only Give Joy Party

So my friends and I went to The Body Shop's LYB Members Only Give Joy Party for a girl bonding last Saturday, October 20, 2012 in SM Mall of Asia.

After the registration, we are introduced to an SA to guide us in our shopping and at the same time  show to us the season's limited edition goodies and new releases.

These photos are from http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com because I forgot to take photos.  Aside from the body butters, there's also lotions, soaps, shower gel and perfume of the Cranberry Joy, Ginger Sparkle and Vanilla Bliss.  Oh my friends and I can't help sniffing on the Cranberry Bliss and Vanilla Bliss body butters that I give-in in buying the mini gift set of the two and got another one for free just for being an LYB Member.  With a little persuasion, my friend bought the free ahahaha.  I can buy the Ginger Sparkle next time.

There are also special christmas sets where you can save tons of money and are packaged in a cutesy christmas way that whoever receives it will surely appreciate and feel the christmas spirit.  Oh I should really have taken photos but better to visit The Body Shop stores to have a close encounter with those cute packaging and gifts sets.

My friend who is not yet an LYB Member was also welcome to The Body Shop family by giving her a free membership and a gift set.

I know I'm on a haul ban but I can't help buying presents that I ended up buying a lot.  Anyway, most of the items are on sale so I saved some moolah and I promised myself that I will not use the products until December and gave some to my sister as an early christmas gift.  I also got a free bag because of my purchases.

So sosyal, my friends wonder what material it's made of and in the end settled with "first grade sosyal na katsa".  I also received a mug for attending the event.

I am very glad to be a LYB Member.  Be a member too to enjoy the perks of being with the The Body Shop family.

TFS Event: Mr. Son Dae Sik Make-up Show

It's my first time to attend this kind of event and one of the things that I hate (I've imagined it beforehand ) is waiting.  The call time was 4:00 pm but the show started at 5:00 pm. I have other rants about the event but let's just focused on the good things.  I'm amazed that a person can look glamorous in (brace yourself) 10 minutes!!! Yep, Mr. Son Dae Sik made the skin preparation, elaborate explanation with matching jokes and the make-up in just 10 minutes.  Here are the products that he uses that is part of Mr. Son Dae Sik's collection in collaboration with TheFaceShop (or was it vice versa?).

I have 1% knowledge about makeup but the THEFACESHOP Face It 1-TOUCH BLUSHER KIT got my attention as it instantly lifted and toned Ms. Mona Luna; the model of the event, cheek area.  I also learned that a meticulous and good skincare routine is very important in most koreans  as it gives the face a natural sheen so the first thing that  Mr. Son Dae Sik to Ms. Mona's face is put an ample amount of moisturizer.

Another thing to thank about events are the freebies.  Here's what TFS's treat for the attendees of the event, mine don't have a face mask though.
