Catching Up 2016

photo from here

Hi there! It's been a while (I know!) so here's what's going on for the past few months (I read this entry again and oh most of them are negative so be prepared).

January 2016
I have lots of post ideas for this blog, unfortunately I can't materialize them because a. I procrastinate, b. I'm not sure how to execute them and c. Internet connection is soooooooooooooo slow.

Please believe me when I say that I wanted to share with you; in detail, my "Project Taba" journey...I'm pretty serious about it the first week of January (like others who make it a point to include this "be healthy, look fit" concept in their New Year's resolution) but my then work (and other reasons that I keep repeating in my mind to justify my actions) kept me from doing it. Super Overtime (without pay guys so I'm not rich by doing it) and stress (Imagine, I worked December 24 and 25 and January 2 even if I'm sick) keeps me crawling back to my unhealthy habits like eating sugary stuff to keep me awake and alert and overeating because...it's comforting to eat hehehe.

Anyway, I'll try to start again this March because it's never too late! Start with me :)

February 2016
Oh the month of love where everybody is questioning my lovelife status-SINGLE forever ahahahaha.  How will I find love when in the first place, I never felt it...it's like finding an unknown thing.

I have a crush though (naks!).  And it makes me happy when I see him because he's always smiling as if the world is just full of magical things...but he's gay so......end of story (shove chocolates in the mouth).

I also look into my beauty stuff and lo and behold, 90% are just sitting in different places of my place collecting dust.  I'm trying to make at least two blog posts out of these stuff but the procrastinator in me is so strong that come March I still haven't made a single post.  I wanted to share my thoughts about the products that I have  because I think it will be helpful specially to those who are starting with make-up and skincare.

March 2016
And so here's March 2016 where I try to finish all the skincare items that I currently have and replace them with something natural.  Why? Because I'm getting old and my current skincare routine is not working anymore.

Speaking of being old, I just noticed that my feed is full of marriage proposals, weddings, kids and extravagant achievements in life that I can't help but look into my life and asks myself "What are you doing?".  It seems like my world is the same everyday that I didn't noticed that the world around me evolved into something strange and foreign...I've just been busy with my usual routine of work-eat-sleep.  Pretty deep huh?  But I guess it's never too late to be the person that I wanted or you wanted to be.  I'm trying to be out of my comfort zone and change my mindset so I can experience the full potential of living (sorry if I'm trying to be deep).  I will still be childish, but I hope I will be mature enough to accept that things happen and that I must move on - charge to experience things/events that are out of my scope and use them as learning to have better decisions in life.

I'm leaving you with the song "In My Mind" by Amanda Palmer :)

June 2014: Super Late, What is Happening?

Time have moved on, but it seems like I'm in a new world with the old confused me...so everything now is a blur especially last week.  How weird that I've been planning a month before June as to the direction of this blog (it's this blog's anniversary, 2nd to be exact) and now I don't know how to fit it in my life...hopefully I'll be regularly blogging soon though for the my sanity, it's a free space where I can express my thoughts on things that doesn't really matter but is still part of my everyday life.

So hello, treat this like an update???  Like for example the things that I've used up and thrown for a couple of months (there are still a lot more since I moved to a new place, but I didn't managed to capture our parting moment), as you can see below, it's a handful and while they are into a space in my old quarters I wonder why I collect/kept them and decided that this will be my last empties/throw post except when I used up products all at the same time.  If you follow this blog (thank you so much) then you might be familiar with most of the products so I'll just talk about the things that I haven't reviewed like the Happy Bath Facial Yogurt, Charlie White and Essence Brow something (sorry, forgot the name).

I got the Happy Bath Facial Yogurt as a freebie so I don't know much about it but it's like a very affordable drugstore basic facial wash (like ponds) that produce a decent amount of foam that luckily does remove basic makeup aside from the everyday dirt our face accumulated and the only complaint I have about it is the smell oh and the big opening of the packaging (that's two hehehe).  Next is a perfume that was given to me a decade ago (yes you read that right, 10 years ago) and it's only now that I emptied it, it's the Charlie White which is under Loreal (I hope I'm not mistaken) which was given to me when I was still in high school.  The smell is like "I just came out of the shower, I'm clean and fresh" with a hint of something flowery (I hope I nailed the smell explanation).  And the last one is the brow pallette (?) from Essence which I didn't use much because it just smudges right away and disappear or maybe I'm not just using it right and I'm just lucky to have a sister who has a slight obsession with eyebrows that she adopted it instead of me throwing it in the trash (and sing "It's not about the money, money, money").

It's also already been awhile since I shared the book/s that I'm reading...there's no other reason but me being lazy, feeling like a sloth just wanting to sleep or make friends with pillows.  But for the past months I'm just reading some classics/basic:  Sherlock Holmes and The Little Prince.  I already read the volume 1 of Sherlock Holmes last year and I'm amazed, on the second volume though I find myself being bored since some of the stories are just the same but if you like solving, crimes and the like then you should definitely read some Sherlock Holmes' stories/novels.

The Little Prince is something that I encountered when I was in grade 3 but didn't managed to finish it since I have to return the book to the school and unfortunately I do not have the means to buy myself a copy and up to now I do not have a copy of the book and just borrowed it from my sister.  Anyway, The Little Prince is something that have different meanings depending on what situation, age, scenario, feeling the reader has.  To others this might just be like a children's book, I thought it's a fascinating children story when I was still in grade school but reading it again now that I'm all grown-up gives a deeper meaning...it makes me think twice about my life...am I on the right track? or I'm just totally wasting my time on things that just burdens my life and makes me unhappy?...am I looking/searching for the right things? ---realization like that :)

"The men where you live," said the little price,"raise five thousand roses in the same garden-and they do not find in it what they are looking for."

And lastly my June 2014 playlist but aside from what is included below, I'm also loving Twilight Galaxy of Metric (I'm quoting some of the lyrics below because it hits me) and Macy Gray's rendition of Creep by Radiohead:

And that's it for June 2014!

Realization/Update/Mini-Haul

While trying to force myself to update my resume, I realize that I'm scared to take an interview.  It's been a long time since I have my last interview and while reminiscing it, I suddenly remembered that I suck at it because I'm not good with words...I'm more of "I'll show how" person because it's hard to explain...this will drag me for the rest of my week.

Another "sucky" thing is I still haven't started anything that is in my to do list, I'm actually doing the opposite by eating a lot and just laying around chillin hahaha.  I'm trying to be cool with it by always laughing and smiling (well compared to before) which I think is really good because I can slowly see my old happy self and hopefully everything will just follow, yehey!

small things in a big world

Some cute stuff above:  I just suddenly saw the mini burger just chilling in the main building of UST and I think it's funny I mean what is the mini burger doing in one of the pillars of the huge building?  Another cute thing is the mini tic tac that my niece gave me, it's so small it can fit in my wallet or in the pocket of my skinny jeans.

Ohhh I also went to Divisoria last week (you might already seen the washi tapes that I got from my Liebster Award for the nth Time post) after a long time and got some really nice and cheap PJ's, three to be exact.  The other one is "terno" meaning pair and it's been a long time since I wore something terno in my "adult" life...now that I'm thinking about it maybe I just bought it so I can tease my niece because she liked the design but there's no available size for her...very bad auntie right ahahaha don't worry she's already in her 20's like me.  The other two are just the pants and they are so cheap considering the good quality that I immediately bought two because it reminded me of those PJs that I saw in Victoria's Secret catalog only cheaper at P100 (around $2.25, oha san ka pa).  I specifically love the one with the flower print:

cheap stuff from Divisoria
And I also bought a pair of shoes, another chipipay but in good quality find.

kikay stuff

My sister ordered some make-up in Bon Marche and decided to get a Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Fig Jam (yes, we are now girls...my mom and my older sisters will be happy when they hear this) because the swatches online looks good but I have to admit that I hate the color of the packaging so much, it looks so old for me...well I hope the color is really good on my lips (I haven't open it).  I also got another bottle of the Moringa Oil because it seems like it's good for my skin but just a bottle is not enough to justify my claim (hmmm the words seems familiar...oh lyrics from Human of The Killers) inside my head.

Well, I will just leave you with these cookies that I made and hope you are having a great start of the new year.  Cheers (I'm raising my tea cup!).

sugar or butter cookies?  it's an elephant!

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!
