Hada Labo and More

Here's the random review again but this time, some goodies are irresistible!

Zenutrients Massage Oils
I got the Eucalyptus and Peppermint and the Eucalyptus and Green Tea and I like the latter more than the former because it's more minty, more relaxing and it helps me breathe better.  These oils are not only good for massages but also for moisturizing the skin because of the coconut oil which is not greasy to use that I apply them even during daytime...good stuff I'm going to try other variants.

Watsons Green Tea Pore Minimizing Gel
If you wanted to try aloe gels for the longest time but don't want to spend 200 to 300 (around $4 to $5) pesos then this gel is a good option.  It has the same light moisturization and cooling effect for less than 100 pesos.  Not sure about the pore minimizing part because I only use this on my feet :)

The Body Shop Special Edition Blueberry
There's a thin line between this, having a childish blueberry smell with a blueberry smell that is good and okay to use in the body.  This has a thick consistency like the shea and moisturizes like the olive, not one of my favorites but for a change of smell to something almost toothy fruity is refreshing once in a while plus I got this for free, yihey!

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap
And Bath & Body Works is not joking because this hand soap have the power of deep cleansing.  The only problem is that it also washes away the moisture off my hands so I go gaga slathering lotions everytime I pee and you know what.

Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion
Hands down to this moisturizing toner, I really wish this is readily available in Watsons Philippines.  This softens my skin to the highest level!!! and really helps in refining and moisturizing my face.  The effect is shocking after just one night of use.  I can't give a full review though because I only use it for less than a month (got to try only around 1/8 of the bottle, thanks to a friend who let me have the remaining of this stuff).

Tried any of these?

The Body Shop Shea Body Whip and Olive Shower Gel

Lately, my skin has been very calm: there's no itchiness, no new wounds and scars...it's just silently recovering and I think part of this nice recovery is these two from The Body Shop.

The Body Shop Shea Body Whip
This is a kind of lotion that I can wear on summer days without worrying that I'll be greasy because it's light just like the whip cream version of heavy creams.  My skin easily absorbs it but doesn't compromise the moisturizing goodness of shea making my skin really soft and smooth (I know I already reviewed tons of lotions and say the same thing but this one tops them all).  I also like that this one has a lighter nutty smell compared with it's body butter sister and most of the time last the whole day/night.

The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel
It cleans and bubbles well without making my skin feel tight after every bath but why does it smell like moringga with olive...I just hate the combo and it's too overpowering.  Aside from the "bad smell", my skin loves it and use it alternately with the Cetaphil cleanser.

This is very short, but at least I think I covered the basics :)  no need for extra schmanciness.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil

I know, crazy editing of photo up there but I'm liking it.  I've been down lately so some splash of color is very much welcome.  Anyway, I'll be sharing with you this "weird" product from The Body Shop.  Weird in a way that I can't find in the net how dry oil really works but I find this really amazing and I keep on praying that The Body Shop will offer some kind of promo to all their dry oil.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Beautifying Oil is a dry oil that is for body, face and hair.  It is supposed to be an all in one product but I only use this on my body as my face react to this badly like a mini zit will appear after just a couple of application and  it just won't work on my hair.  BUT on my body, this works wonderful as it just sinks in to my skin leaving it soft and smooth (and the longer I use it, the smoother my skin gets) without the grease of an oil or even from the lotion.

Aside from Community Fair Trade Brazil Nut Oil, there are other three precious nut oils in it namely kukui, sweet almond and Community Fair Trade marula oil.  I'm not sure how these oils smell but this dry oil so so sweet like a concoction of sugar and caramel then sugar and caramel then sugar and caramel (and on and on and on) that I wouldn't be surprised if there are ants crawling on my skin.

I also find this convenient to use.  While my skin is still damp, I spread an ample amount all over my body put my towel on and before I could find the clothes to wear for the day the dry oil already sunk in to my skin (way faster than my usual lotions).

Tried dry oil lately?

May 2014 Haul: Basics

Whenever Watsons go on sale, I go a little cray because I can get the chance to get basic stuff at a discount even if the discount is just 10% to 20% off.  I also took advantage of The Body Shop's buy 1 get 1 promo and got body butters and bb cream.  Then got a pair of shoes from divi and a sunglasses from a mall back in my province.

I'm going back to baby friendly body cleansers because my skin gone really sensitive lately.  Got lured with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser's buy 1 get 1 free promo but I have to use it before September 2014.  I guess I can't go wrong with Dove Gentle Exfoliating Nourishing Body Wash because Dove was always recommended by my doctor when I was still a kid and Johnson & Johnson's Baby Bath.

For hair, I just got some conditioners and a hair treatment.  Herbal Essences Hello Hydration seems nice and since I love the hair treatment, I also got the Naturals by Watsons Olive Conditioner as a backup.  I'm making my own hair treatment now but when lazy days strikes, I'll just use HairFix Hair Treatment Deep Repair which has Argan Oil and Aloe Vera (seems like every drugstore stuff now claims to have argan oil).

Thanks to The Body Shop's anniversary sale I finally got the Chocomania body butter which I got at 40% off plus I also use my points from my card so I almost got it for free.  My sister and I take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 promo on the Olive body butter and the All-In-One BB cream (almost or all their make-up we're on sale and got tempted to get some eyeshadows).  The red box is a freebie, all thanks to the nice SA for reminding me.

Lastly a pair of shoes from the infamous Divisoria which is only $7 hehehe and a sunglasses which I like very much (surprisingly! I am not a fan of sunglasses before) and the price my goodness is $1.50 and I saw the same one in the mall here in Manila for $7 (I guess the case cost $5.50?).

Very basic and I hope I buy much much less next month.

Till then, Arya

The Body Shop in Apple Blossom and Vitamin E

I am finally on my last tub of the body butters that I hoarded from the The Body Shop last year and it's the Vitamin E Body Butter.  Mine is with the older packaging which I find better than the new one.  The pinkish body butter is way lighter than the olive or shea that I enjoy using it this summertime and even under the scorching sun I don't feel greasy with it.  It almost has the same scent and consistency with the sweet lemon variant.

The Apple Blossom Shower Gel and Body Lotion have just the greatest smell and I like that they somehow linger in my body.  It's like green apple and newly cut grass in one, it might be weird for others but the combo is just so light and refreshing.  The shower gel lathers up really well specially when use with a bath lily and the lotion is surprisingly not greasy and it sinks in like an essence but still leaving my outer skin smooth and moisturize.

I forgot how much I paid for these three but I know that I bought them at 40% off.  Great deal!

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Enprani Whitecell + The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss

Back when I'm obsessed in brightening my skin (I give up now), I bought this foam cleanser that promises to brighten and helps skin tone become clearer.  Aside from that I'm also curious because it's my first time to see this brand (bought it from an online seller named Hipstyle) and the packaging seems classy and sophisticated.  According to KoreaDepart:

info from Korea Depart
So here's the foam cleanser together with my newly acquired Ecotools brushes.  As you can see it's so plain but really classy plus the box of this one has this glistening silvery effect that looks a little magical and thought I paid a little for the product (sorry I forgot how much but it's less than 300 pesos).

Enprani Whitecell Foam Cleanser
Description:
Brightening foam cleanser which removes dead skin cell and helps your skin tone become clearer.

Not much information but according to again Korea Depart (I'm no way affiliated with Korea Depart by the way, it's just that they have the information I need):

Exclusive ingredients  (Smart Radiancell™)YouthCell™Moist Activator Complex™enzyme (Papain and pro-melanin)

Product Description:
-Controls melanin production to create clean and transparent skin.
-Through white cell science system, blocks melanin step by step to maximize whitening effect.
-YouthCell™ ingredient creates dense and smooth skin texture both inside and outside.
-Takes care of lack of moisture to remain moisture for hours.
-Capsule that contains Vitamin E derivatives creates clean and smooth skin texture.
-Enzyme exfoliates old to brighten skin tone refreshingly.

Very promising right?  So I bought this in an instant even if it's out of my budget.  So, I started using this foam cleanser around June by just taking a small amount (it easily creates foam so no need use a lot) making sure that the yellow beads are included then rub it in my hands then I gently massage it on my face.  The yellow beads pops into smaller-tiny pieces and act as a gentle scrub.  Then I wash it off with tepid water (although the instruction said with warm water).  I feel that my face is totally cleansed (as in squeaky clean) with this but since I have dry skin, I also feel the need to put my face essence immediately so I think this is best for those with oily to normal skin type.

I also use this cleanser to wash my brushes as it easily removes my basic make-up (bb cream, lip and cheeck tint, blush, lip balm) without taking away the fluffiness.

the yellow beads pops!
Although this one didn't brighten my face the way I wanted it (I guess my face is just really dead pale), Enprani Whitecell Foam Cleanser did help in making my skin tone a little clearer, I mean there are some parts of my face that looks a little darker and they look like patches (cause by my skin asthma) and they somehow lighten and not as visible as before.  I also like how this one makes my skin squeaky so I sometimes used it as a body wash whenever I feel that my body accumulated all the dirt in the world.

I really don't know what they are
Next is a Christmas/Holiday season body polish edition from The Body Shop.  I know it's not yet Christmas but again, I can't resist 50% off sale plus I like Vanilla, plus (yup another plus) after August, it's the start of Christmas season already (well in the Philippines, whenever the  ~ber~ months starts, we somehow feel the feeling of Christmas that some already start planning on how to hang their Christmas lights and parol and how to decorate their Christmas tree).

Nothing much to say actually because it's the same as the other body polishers from The Body Shop (you can read my post of the Gingerbread Polisher variant here) the only difference is the smell and the beads.

The Body Shop Body Polish in Vanilla Bliss
As you can see it's almost empty in the picture and while I'm doing this post, the container is already in the trash bin.  So the below picture shows different kinds of beads.  There's these smaller black seeds that I think are from kiwi and there's this big seed which I believe to be from vanilla (based on the ingredients list) and I don't know what the rest are made of (maybe debris from these seeds, not sure but they still gently scrub my skin).

not sure what particles these are but the big one easily pops
The vanilla smell is overpowering so it's a good thing for me that the smell lightens a lot after I shower and by the time that I put my clothes on, the smell totally disappears which makes me love the Gingerbread variant better (the small is more relaxing and more clean). I'll use the raspberry soon, let's see if the Gingerbread will still be my favorite.

And of course the ingredients lists.

I see kiwi seed and vanilla seed
Can't wait to hoard The Body Shop stuff after the holiday season :)

That's it.  Share your thoughts below and hope you continue to support my blog by following me via bloglovin, email and other social media networks that I'm still cleaning up but do share my posts if you like them :) (pathetic much?).

Thanks for reading. Till then. Bye!

Stop the Sale please Haul

Well it's payday, it's the end of the month and summer season is ending soon (well I hope) so Henry Sy, I mean SM malls are on sale.  Fine, I bought some stuff again, GRR.

I can't resist the apple smell of the shower gel, it's sooo good and refreshing.
green apple in my shower gel and lotion
Let's see if this oil can justify it's cost/price.
beautifying oil
After asking 3 asking Maybelline kiosk, I finally found you Baby Skin and lucky that it's on sale.  For 30 seconds I hate this but 30 seconds after, I consider it a friend.
the price is so affordable!!!

After Holiday Haul

I always go to malls a week or two after the holidays simply because sales are everywhere.  Of course, stores go gaga on how to dispose items that are on holiday themes.

Sometimes, the products that I find are great all year round and just have to dispose the boxes and whatnots and they look as if I bought them on their regular prices just like the items below which I got at 50% off the price tag.
The Body Shop haul
The Vitamin E range is a steal for me.  I would almost spend 25% of my month salary if I buy them individually and  I heard a lot of good reviews about the white musk, the box is not in a good condition but I'll throw it anyways so spending P250 for 3 mini items (I think it's already good for a month) is very okay with me.

And the body butter in sweet lemon is also on sale.  It's the old version which I like better than the newer ones because of the texture.  And last but not least, the mini manicure set which I kind of regret buying but well I already bought it so I immediately just use it.

Oh these items are not on sale but they are really cheap I mean affordable that I can't stop myself from buying them.  The bookmarks from National Bookstore are just P10 for 10 pieces and the oil from Papemelroti is just P59.  I hope National Bookstore will restock the other designs for the bookmark, I wanted to buy the frog and pig version.

Thanks for reading.  Till then.  Bye!

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter

As a continuation of my love for body butters, I opened another tub of The Body Shop's in the variant of Shea.
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter
According to Green Living National Geographic: "The fat of the nut of the African Shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) is the source of Shea butter. The traditional use of the butter is to reduce the appearance of fine lines, scars and stretch marks, and to ease a variety of skin irritations, such as psoriasis, eczema and sunburn. Makers of cosmetics also mix this natural substance with other botanical ingredients. Shea butter is ideal for the topical application of cosmetic and medicinal formulas, because it melts on contact and is readily absorbed into the skin, without leaving a greasy residue."
The shea butter is from Ghana
it's for very dry skin
This body butter is creamier than the Olive and has a little froth texture to it.  I don't know if this has been the consistency of the Shea variant but I'll let you know once I open my small tub with the old packaging.  It's a bit hard to spread but is still quickly absorbent and doesn't leave my skin greasy.
The smell is really intoxicating and I've been sniffing it every now and then.  I haven't seen or smell a real shea  nut so I don't know if the vanilla~ish+nutty+a kick of a delicate flower is natural.  Nevertheless, the scent is elegant and classy to me though may not be liked by those who prefer a crisp scent.
has an off-white/pearly color
The Shea Body Butter does really provide 24 hours hydration so during daytime, I just use a light or body gel.  I dare not use this during daytime because I commute and I don't want to attract dust and other pollution.  Anyway the SAs of The Body Shop Philippines are honest enough to tell their customers not to use this during daytime; unless you are in a cold place, as it will make the skin sticky because of the heat and daily activities.
24 hour hydration for very dry skin
I'm very happy with Shea Body Butter especially on cold nights since I do not have to bother myself reapplying to my dry, itchy skin.  My legs and hands benefited a lot from it:  less scratches for my legs and softness for my hands.  What's more to be happy about is that I got this at half the price!

Thanks for reading.  Till then.  Bye!
